Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. My friend has a really nice 17L set up for steel. It is just using a ported barrel. I was planning to have him take my 34 and work up something similar to his, also for steel. If I was going for Major then I would look at a comp'ed 17.
  2. Thanks for the heads up. Looks like they are going quick.
  3. I would depend on the specific match, but most do not allow it. The MGM Iron Man has allowed a long range rifle for use on specific targets/stages. It would be best to consult the rules of the match you are looking to attend and if you cannot find the information you are looking for ask the Match Director.
  4. They sure would be a great starter. They were very popular a few years ago before there were so many other options like there are today.
  5. Caspian is a manufacture so when people say Caspian slide they are referring to the brand of slide. Here is their website: http://www.caspianarmsltd.com/
  6. 3M double sided tape is what i used on one of my rifles. The kind with a foam center was what I had on hand and it has been stuck for over 4 years now without a problem. If you wanted to removed it though it would be a pain.
  7. I really liked the Danner Strikers, but when they changed them to the current model they cut costs on a few parts and had some issues. :-( I still like Danners the best though and for 20% off, I could use some of their higher end boots!
  8. Whats MSRP on the Boomfab carrier?
  9. There have been a couple times when in three gun that I have been running with my rifle in my hands and was worried that my pistol would pop out of the bladetech. I would do the "keep the pistol in with my elbow" thing but I have grown tired of that. Tried the Blackhawk holster but to me pushing the button with my trigger finger didn't feel natural and there was a couple times it just left me vigorously pulling up my pants. When I first tried the ALS, it felt more natural and easy. That is when I knew I found what I needed. It might delay my draw some, but having the ability to run like a normal person I am sure more then makes up for the difference.
  10. To each their own, but I like both versions of Sta Trek. Not a super fan of Star Wars, but we'll see how they shake out.
  11. The JP has been around for a long time, tried and true if you will. I have several.
  12. I am bad at figuring out part numbers, can you share what model ALS holster you have for the 34? Thanks.
  13. I have been using the JP gas block. I don't like how close the .936 low pro one is to touching the inside of my hg tube, but it works and I think that is more of a "in my head" issue then anything. Shouldn't be a worry if you are using a .750 which I think the Syrac is.
  14. My new M&P is doing the eject towards face thing with the minor loads I'm running in it. What does locking the slide back and leaving it that way do? I would assume it is to weaken the spring slightly.
