  1. Gotta love these threads about guys bullying or passive aggressive ways to get others to paste, reset stages.Etc...I’ve been reading this forum for close to 10 years and feels like I’ve read about a thousand of these. One thing I’ve never been able to figure out is what sense it makes to have 8-10 guys walk down range and each stand by one target waiting to paste. Doesn’t take long for the help to dwindle. Why not assign certain parts of the shooting order to be responsible for resetting. Bottom of shooing order and once your done shooting a stage reset for next 3-4 shooters. 3-4 people can reset as quick as 8 guys standing by a single target. That way everyone knows whose responsible for reset and helps out. Helps keep everyone fresh, allows everyone plenty of time to concentrate on stage plans, prep etc. Why not try something different.
  2. I had a similar issue with recently purchased 650. Was crushing primers 20-30% of the time. Adjusted indexer block and last 1000 rounds have not had an issue.
  3. Under Armour Tac enduro. Best fitting pants i own. A little pricey but worth it.
  4. CGW hammer, ext firing pin and test out main springs 11 or 13 will make a huge difference.
  5. Springer on both my SP01's. Have worked well for last 1.5 years. Just be careful fitting and don't remove too much material. Seems not all CZ dovetails are the same.
  6. Switching to decocker from safety had none impact on trigger pull. Changing main spring, comp hammer has way more impact in trigger pull
  7. Shot a local IDPA match 4-5 years ago with a blind stage. My run was ok but there were 2 targets that took most people extra time to find. After my run there was an issue with scoring, targets were missed and I would need to reshoot. Cut my initial time in half, won the stage by over 20 seconds and ended up winning the match. I had no business winning that match. Blind stages sound fun and interesting but no way to make it fair for all competitors..
  8. Left index finger blocking firing pin and roll out. Has worked 100%. First used pinch method, had hammer slip out of fingers in practice on humid day. Which ever way you use if you make conscious effort and don't rush u will be fine.
  9. Any updates when it will be available? Video said June but it's now June. Looking forward to trying as well.
  10. What gun, division are you planning on shooting? The kit from Ben Stoeger Pro shop is pretty good and you will not be at any disadvantage as you progress. Depending on how much you want to spend ghost pouches work well on cheaper side, DAA pouches will run the gaumet on price points and are very good. Holster choice will most likely be determined by division, kydex vs race holster. I personally like kydex for CO, Prod and limited. Fraction of cost vs race holster and don't feel any slower on draws.
  11. All things equal guy who shoots fastest and most accurate wins. Point I think Ben Stoeger was making is bigger gains will be made by working on shooting improvements, reloads, splits, transitions etc. I definitely agree being in better shape helps match performance but isn't guaranteed to have huge impact in match results. Me personally, I am working on cardio, weights, eliminating sugar. This allows me to enjoy a long day at range vs. being in pain all day. Enjoyment is through the roof, match performance....not so much.
  12. I think we sometimes get to results oriented and that takes joy away from what we are doing. Focus on the process, learning a different gun, preparing for major match. After you start having fun again evaluate where you are with new gun/division and what you want your new goals to be.
  13. Try some different weight bullets and see what works best for your set up. I like a lighter bullet for CO, snappier recoil seems to get dot back on target quicker. Heavier bullet gives less felt recoil but gives more muzzle rise and feels like it takes longer for dot to get back on target.
  14. I always find these situations interesting. My struggle is defining what is an advantage or significant advantage. Ask 10 RO's you will get 10 different answers. Subjectivity and variation of interpretation by RO causes most issues in these situations and is not the same for all shooters.
  15. I agree on cost factor for myself. Production gets harder as you get older speed and vision wise. Limited us appealing due to mag capacity. Carry Optics seems to bridge both. See alot of local guys going CK open gun route, some decent used deals in $3k range. Feeling of Nice 2011 trigger does have an allure.
  16. +1 on bladetech holster. Have a couple RHT holsters and agree seems to be alot of movent of fun in holster. Like boss hanger vs. bladetech offset. Bladetech angles grip away from my side but feels like barrel is pointed right into my thigh.
  17. If your talking about USPSA then I don't think that is correct. I see limited & open guys down load magazines all the time on virginia count classifiers usually requiring a reload.
  18. Yes, I have 2 used in USPSA for little over a year. Have approx 12k through both combined, runs great love the ergos and feel in my hand. I got one directly from CGW with Pro package, trigger feels great. Got the other stock and added CGW parts myself. Omega trigger is pretty easy to work on, couple great videos on youtube. As zhunter mentioned magwell and long narrow mags can make reloading a challenge. Put in enough dryfire and it wont hold you back. The only drawback to P09 platform is cost of mags, Greg Cote LLC seems to have best price but still are $38 - $42 a piece.
  19. Found this issue tonight. Thanks to Joe L's YouTube videos I was able to disassemble the lower tonight. Kept thinking I was missing a piece...turns out the piece on the side of the hammer (I know real technical ) that holds the disconnector was broken off and the whole disconnector was missing. Hard to believe gun would still function in SA with the disconnector missing.
  20. Thanks for the responses. DA still not working, I did check the trigger bar spring and everything looked fine, still intact and in its place under trigger bar. When cocking hammer trigger would normally move backwards as well to single action position. Now when cocking hammer, trigger stays in forward most position. SA works but makes for a really long SA pull.
  21. I have a CZ p-09 I bought from classifieds here (approx 500 rounds at time of purchase), previous owner installed CGW Hammer and trigger components. Should clarify I have no issues with seller, gun has functioned great up until now. I have approx 2k down the pipe since purchase. Issue happened at last match, trigger is dead when pulling trigger with hammer down in double action mode. Trigger moves but hammer does not, however I am able to run the gun in single action. Actually finished the match by racking slide or cocking hammer off the draw. Not an optimal way to shoot a stage but at least I was able to finish the match. Wondering if anyone has had a similar experience or has an idea of what the issue might be?
  22. Is the cz hammer production legal?
  23. Hmmm....title of this thread made me think this was a question about something other than guns.
