  1. Benelli M2 with the Triangle Tactical package has never failed me. Eats walmart bulk ammo with ease and runs like crazy.
  2. Prior to mounting the S&B 5-25. GAP Crusader .308
  3. Not mine, but they let me borrow it for a few shots.
  4. Buying more Safe than you actually need was the wise advise given to me.
  5. Im looking to have my M&P done exactly like that, looks nice!
  6. As posted on TN Competitive Shooters FB "Music City Tactical Shooters in Dickson, TN, will be having a 3-Gun match on Saturday, November 22nd. Start time TBD. Address: 990 Coon Creek Road, Dickson, TN. Come on out and get you some!" Interested shooter looking for any additional information
  7. As a current soldier I personally would recommend using US Gov issued equipment. Make friends with the unit armorer and that's how you get hooked up with the better items in the arms room.
  8. Sounds like a turret tracking test which you can do at any distance. And a lot easier if you have a mil reticle. Fire a shot at 100yd, adjust turret up 5moa/mil, maintain previous aiming point, fire 2nd shot, difference between 2 shots should be your adjustment.
  9. I keep mine in my LR bag because its too easy to mount it up and get some data if i think my elevation dope isnt working out like it should.
  10. I too would love a 9mm Eagle for 3 Gun, however the gains over my M&P9L dont quite justify almost 3k worth of gear. Its more of a "want to have" vs a "Must have"
  11. +1 for the G Code, great holster, long wait time.
  12. I started using a G Code XST for 3 gun, and for the money its a great retention holster 1/2 price of the safariland and bladetech. Only issue is the long wait times.
  13. In preparations for the Samson 3 man 3 gun match 2 weeks ago, I made sure to wipe down all of my guns and reapplied a light coat of FireClean. Throughout the match there were many competitors rifles, pistols and shotguns, that were rendered single shot by the relatively cold (35-45) temps, However mine ran perfectly throughout the match. Any other FireClean experiences or a temp range where I will need to switch to a lower temp gun lube?
  14. Im a fan of Dawson Adjustable rear sights, however if you want to stay with your factory rear, then a shorter front sight would be required.
  15. Peltor TacSport with Gel cups are the best bang for the buck in my experience. Excellent battery life and the Gel cups are a must have for all peltor headsets.
  16. Id recommend .40 if you plan on USPSA, Major vs Minor is a significant scoring difference, and you could always use .40 Minor for 3 gun. I went with a Dawson CRP Edge which is great value for a new STI shooter like myself.
  17. The tool less GR is very handy and definitely worth the extra $ imo.
  18. Ive used both, and there is no difference other than the tactile feel of Aluminum vs Polymer. For the money I would recommend the Polymer.
  19. I too had to dremel away at the magwell for it to drop free
  20. I started out with a 9L for 3 gun, and after dawson sights and Apex FSS, there was no reason to buy the Pro.
  21. I find it easiest to use Freedom Munitions 124gr for 3 gun, the price is right and i can leave my 650 set up for 40 Major.
  22. I carry a G19, however compete with a STI Edge for USPSA LIM and a M&P9L for 3 Gun.
  23. Excellent match, the team element made it more challenging and even more fun than a traditional 3 gun match.
  24. The dropped mag procedurals and "tactical priority" killed me in a recent IDPA match. What could have been 6th overall quickly became 14th after you add up 18 seconds worth of IDPA specific penalties.
