  1. I will third the Vanek Classic. I put one in my G34 before I knew much about glock triggers and ran 2 seasons with it - it's still 100% reliable today.

    LW Slides

Bought a LW 24 slide & barrel, had the slide lightened and filled it with LW, OEM & DP parts - runs like a champ. No issue with any internals or sights fitting.
  3. Negative. As related in the OP, the RO uttered the phrase "make ready" while the shooter was in the box and ready to go - supposedly videotaped to go back and check. When the RO says make ready the shooter is under no obligation to confirm that the RO is actually ready for him to make ready.
  4. Yep, RO screwed up IMO. If I'm in the box and you say "make ready" in any phrase I'm interpreting that as make ready and will proceed. RO needs some training IMO.
  5. It will lock with a round in the mag if you use thin followers like Grams for max mag capacity. You can just trim the follower a bit to keep it from activating. Depending on the caliber, you can also break the ejector with an aggressive reload with the slide locked back.
  6. That makes sense, I'll probably just go without the anodized since I load mostly coated lead. Thanks
  7. Will an anodized version be coming out anytime in the near future?
  8. I use both of those for .40 major thru my 2011s - along with Clays and started using E3 the last few months (all with BBI, Bayou & SNS coated). I'm using the N320 for all my match ammo and the rest for practice loads. The E3 feels the closest to the N320 IMO (using 4.6gr of N320 vs 3.8gr of E3). E3 just doesn't meter all that great for me, but it's about half the cost of N320 (which meters great for me).
  9. I had to fit the Glock & STI blocks for the Racemaster to get the feel I wanted. I fit it to one Glock and it locks up and releases the other 3 I've tried all the same - all Gen3 in my case.
  10. Look at a Glock 40 ejector and a Glock 9mm ejector. Running 9mm w/ a Glock 40 ejector MAY cause occasional ejection issues, even with the conversion barrel - not a big deal. Running 40 w/ a 9mm ejector MAY cause detonation of a round while clearing the weapon - the 9mm ejector is canted in towards the primer while the 40 ejector is straight.
  11. Yes, if they're the same Gen. You'll just need to change either the ejector or the whole trigger block w/ ejector.
  12. For selling a product at a price someone is willing pay??? The bidders generally set the selling price, not the seller. I'm sure most people prefer to sell to the lowest bidder. I'd just point and laugh at the dumbasses willing to pay that much, but in the end someone freely purchased something at a price they felt acceptable.

    Bayou Bullets

My mail lady is more than happy to let me get the heavy boxes off her truck is when I'm home.

    Bayou Bullets

Black Bullets also does this now just received my order from them and it took me a good 5 min to get through all the stupid tape. That's better than finding a trail of bullets up the driveway when you get home (delivery last week). Maybe that was the only way the USPS employee could find their way back to the truck?
  15. But anti 2nd Amendment types coming to power were most certainly the catalyst for this event AND the previous ones.
  16. How did you come to this conclusion? Does everyone within the proximity of DC have their head in the sand? There has been panic buying since a certain party took control of DC. Just because you are in the DC area doesn't mean you necessarily voted for the party in office. That is why I live in Virginia and not DC or MD.Head in the sand? The problem has so far had nothing to do with the Government and everything to do with what has so far been unreasonable and unrealized fear of government action. The problem here is a very simple issue from economics 101 called the law of supply and demand. Ironic sentence is ironic.

  18. I'm primarily loading major PF loads (3.8gr w/ a moly 180gr makes 170PF in my 6") and I still get inconsistent drops - using the .61 disk hole. Tried mica thru the measure to slick it up, but didn't help much with E3. I was wondering if one of the other drum type measures (Hornady, RCBS) I could mount up on the loadmaster would throw E3 consistently or would it be about the same? Maybe I'll try the vibration route with the pro disk?
  19. The problem could also be the occasional out of spec BBI, I've seen some big as .404 in couple of lots. I my case though the round didn't quite chamber far enough to pull the trigger, but had the same outcome - oversized bullet barely stuck in chamber and cased pulled off when racking out the round (powder all over). These were all practice rounds.
  20. Having the same inconsistencies with my Lee Pro disk and E3. Also having very similar PF/charge numbers as you - did some chrono'ing earlier today (all with moly 180s - Bayou, SNS & BBI). I really like this powder, but just wish I could figure out how to get my Pro disk to throw it more consistently - it throws WST, N320 & H335 very consistently. For now I'm just using the E3 for practice loads and IMO it feels very similar to my N320 match loads (similar accuracy as well).
  21. These. Jacketed, BT is easy to seat, good accuracy - and usually around 8 cents each delivered when there's a code floating around (less than 10 w/o).
  22. If your wife wants to shoot I'd suggest buying her the nicest gun you can afford. A SS Div gun should fit her hands very nicely.
  23. I find the mags fit with a lot less (no) resistance with a front to back dimension of 1.360 (this helps with capacity a little as well). These feed lips are 0.385 (front & back) - followers have never popped out and I haven't experienced any feed issues. Followers have been trimmed to not lock the slide back.
  24. This is normal. Most people just trim the follower to disable the slide lock.
  25. Most of the steel case rounds I've shot over the last decade or so have had lead core, copper jacketed bullets. I've actually shot more brass rounds with steel core or steel tip projectiles in that time, radway used to be dirt cheap.
