  1. They are human, humans make mistakes - I think I may have even made a mistake once. I've always had good experiences buying from Grafs over the last decade or so, but everyone has a slip up now and then.
  2. I'm using the 125gr BBI with a factory G34 barrel - no issues so far. I'm shooting the 180gr BBI thru a LWD barrel in my Limited G24.
  3. I've been using BBI .40 & 9mm bullets with WST and Clays - they have been flawless for me so far and no issues making PF with them. Always ship fast too. In fact it's about time to order some more. The mail lady always hates bullet delivery day
  4. I was using 2.8gr of Clays behind a 125 BBI at 1.140 OAL in my Glock 34 for steel and it felt very light. I ran a batch of them over my chrono and was surprised they were at 120PF - think I could make PF pretty easily if needed. I'm using 3.35gr of WST now for my steel loads, but haven't chrono'd any yet.
  5. Just got shipping conf on 10k of them. They've been 100% so far in my G34 with stock striker and light striker spring. These are really good for range & practice loads IMO.
  6. Ok, I thought you were asking about a soft shooting minor load for uspsa or a good load for steel. 3.4gr of Clays puts me almost at major with a 180 BBI in my G24
  7. Try about 3.2gr of Clays loaded to about 1.140 OAL for those 165s for minor. You may have to bump it up .1 or so for that shorter barrel, but it should be close to minor PF. Nice light recoil on that load, in fact you may need a lighter recoil spring - around 13lbs should do.
  8. Lots of good info above. If you're looking to start out on a budget the Lee Classic Turret (or kit) is hard to beat. It's also a great press to get comfortable reloading, it's a lot easier to keep an eye on one cartridge at a time. You'll be kicking yourself for not reloading sooner once you figure out how easy it is. Just be patient and pay attention to detail and you'll turn out ammo that shoots better than factory.
  9. Try this thread: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=78983&page=3&hl=%26quot%3Bsolo+1000%26quot%3B#entry1949571 And maybe some info here: http://www.accuratepowder.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/WP_LoadSpec_7-2-13.pdf
  10. Thanks for the heads up. They only let me buy 5k but that is enough for a few weeks Ditto. I needed more primers for range/practice ammo.
  11. ProChrono digital for $99 shipped on amazon is what I went with and it works great so far. I think midway has the ProChrono PAL on sale for $89 right now.
  12. I'm getting 170PF using 4.2gns of WST behind a 180gr BBI loaded to 1.145 OAL out of a 6" Glock.
  13. If I can't find the right used 6" 2011 in .40 I might have to give FGW a call.
  14. Using the Lee carbide 4 die set for .40 here. It sizes the glock'd brass good enough for me and the FCD doesn't cause me any issues with moly, but I barely add any crimp to my rounds - just enough to help prevent setback.
  15. +1 for shooters source - just got a bunch of .40 from them.
  16. Hit the safety prime with your left hand, prime then grab a bullet while charging powder, quick powder level peek before placing the bullet for seating & crimping, done. I keep the brass and bullet bins mounted on the left side of the press. I did have to file open the mounting hole on the safety prime mounting tab just a bit to get it to hit the priming arm at the correct angle, it drops the primer in there very good now. Before that mod I would have to hit it twice most of the time or it would drop a primer on the floor.
  17. Do what ffries61 said, seat and crimp separately. This will make adjustments easier and should give you a more consistent OAL. The LM should have enough stations to do this.
  18. I run this, except with a 180 BBI, out of a G24 w/ LWD barrel and it is very nice.
  19. Does medium flat rate box apply to the Islands? If so you're getting a hell of a deal!!! Yes it does My mail lady hates me Mine just makes me come out to the mail truck and carry them in myself when those small 70lb boxes show up.
  20. I just chrono'd a WST .40 load thru my 6" Glock build (LWD barrel). 4.2 grain WST 180gr Black Bullet Int'l (.400 size) 1.140 OAL 170PF I've had zero feed issues with the BBI 165gr or 180gr bullets. No smoke problems with these either - using Clays or WST.
