  1. +1!! . . . or to GM like the Flexster!
  2. Mike, This is true. That's why I like my Winchester pump - because it doesn't do that. I don't shoot it in three gun though
  3. Love those great gun store finds/bargins!
  4. I'm very good at this procedure. I now have Glocks that double and triple!
  5. I used it the other day. Good deal for USPSA.
  6. The Glock trigger is harder to gauge then, say, a 1911 trigger. The poundage will vary depending on when you place the bar on the trigger face. If you like the trigger and it works for you, then that's the correct gauge. Do a search on major PF loads and you'll find lots of info. I personally use 4.7 grains of Titegroup under a 180 Zero JHP. Start at about 4.4 grains and work up if necessary.
  7. Eric, Don't let anyone discourage you - go for it. The major 9 thing is pretty solid now in S_I's. The challenge with major 9 out of a Glock, IMO, is the limited OAL of the rounds because of mag dimensions. However, Mad Scientist and others are doing it. I had a chance to fire Mad Scientist's Open Glock 9 the other week and it was GREAT! Every bit as flat as my STI major 9. Very sweet gun.
  8. I don't think it's a bad idea, but I don't think much of Federal barrels. I had one and the corners of the ramp were collapsing, so I chucked it (I bought it used for $25 when it was "like new"). But maybe I just got a bad one. I'm not sure how bottleneck pistol brass is to reload. It sounds like a pain, but who knows.
  9. OG34, Try a search of member "Mad Scientist." He has some good 9 major loads for the Glock and I think he posted them here somewhere.
  10. Great pics! What's that .223 ammo - xm193?
  11. I've only shot USPSA 3 gun matches. Does anyone have a link to RM3G rules? Are there Open, Tactical and Limited classes?
  12. Guys, Respectfully - my intent in starting this thread was not to point fingers at individuals or specific threads (which is rarely constructive), but just to make a general observation about "What I Hate."
  13. IMHO, it seems there’re a couple of recent threads on this GREAT forum that contain disrespectful, condescending and combative tones directed at other members. I’ve seen that type of attitude on a lot of other forums, but RARELY on BE’s forum. The absence of such attitude is one of the things that makes this forum unique. I hope we’re able to maintain it. It is possible to disagree on a topic without being condescending or disrespectful. Being respectuful to members with differing opinions, IMO, is also being respectful to our host - BE . . . and vice versa . . .
  14. Eric, What did you have to mod to do quick reloads? I did Dremel the receiver in front of the tube. Is that what you did?
  15. Eric, I didn't need to send mine to a smith. Shoot decent shells and clean it (which I hate doing), and it runs fine.
  16. I wonder if they will continue to offer the extended load gate/button that's on the CM?
  17. That's a shame. I love mine, although I do have to clean it from time to time
  18. I you don't mind a second generation frame (no finger grooves or light rail) then there's tons of police trade-ins on the market in the mid $300 range.
  19. Prior to this thread I was having my gunsmith cut my 20" Bushmaster government profile barrel down to 18". Instead, I had him cut it down to 17". No gas port work. I shot it yesterday and it was 100% with xm193, Q3131a and Wolf. I was concerned that the Wolf wouldn't run it because its slighly underpowered, but it ran fine.
  20. Personally, if I had the chance, I would. But I'm afraid for the shoot-once and carry-always tacticalbilly who does the same. +1 but use a stock stiker spring.
  21. The front sight is OK, but I don't want to see the rear sight. Just use flip up rears.
  22. No good deed goes unpunished! Worse than no "thank you," is when you go out of your way to do a good deed and it ends up biting you in the ass. Pick your friends and good deeds carefully
