It's impossible to lock your arms with your elbows pointed out - the way Dave shoots.
Try it for yourself: hit your index and and then turn your elbows out. The effect of turning your elbows out is to unlock your arms.
You don't need a dual spring on a G22.
There's a competition seating die made - I believe by Redding. You can just dial it down. Try a search - I think there's a thread on that die.
The latest 40 mags also have a #6 follower. It clips into the top of the spring instead of using a hole where the spring hooks into it.
My mags with the #6 followers seem to really shoot out of the mag well quicker than those with the #5 followers, but I only notice it when I shoot dry (which you should avoid anyway).
Yep - the G27 and G26 have the double spring recoil system. Actually, Seacamp has a patent on the design.
Seacamp sued Glock for infringement and there was an undisclosed settlement . . .
Possibly one way to get positive press for USPSA is to make Front Sight available on the net in .pdf to all members and non-members.
Front Sight is the best shooting mag out there IMO, but you have to be a member to get it. Post it on the net for free.
Also, we should put together some slick match videos for the public to download as well. Everyone that I show the "hoser-cam" links to loves it! It shows the shooting from the shooters perspective and newbies see it and go, "wow, that looks like a lot of fun!"
Dave's an impresive guy. He almost won LTD and beat the likes of Travis and Manny along the way!
His Glock partner - Julie G - has really got her Production game going as well - shooting 88% of David O.
My mag catch spring in one of my Glock frames is weak and I'm inadvertantly dropping mags.
Can you replace the spring? It looks like it's press fit in the frame.
Thanks.
I just like the way my G22 feels with major PF loads as compared to the G35. I sold the G35, so I can't do any specific tests to provide objective data though.
At the 04 Area 6 3G Championship, we had a "magnum El Prez" - - 4 targets at 50 yards. Two on each, reload, two on each.
Taran Butler won it at 9.04 sec, 69 points.
BTW George - the reload is from the belt, correct?
Does anyone know anything about the Benelli CENTRO SPORT SG? I have a line on one for about $500, but I don't know if they're similar to the M1 S90, parts availablity, etc.
Thanks.
