  1. I have some around here my vet gave me one time but it was in a spare bottle with no product info on it. Good stuff. It chemically cauterizes the wound. I've heard of the bar of soap trick too, but don't have direct experience with it. Mark - is that your dog in the avatar?
  2. Great looking GSD Erik. It looks like he has German blood lines with a non-sloped back. That's a great thing IMO. A lot of the American lines have that sloped look that produces a lot of hip problems. My sister-in-law spent big $ to have her GSD's hips fixed with plates and screws BTW - we take Samson to a great dog park/kennel/training facility: Wolf Brook The owner is a big time schutzhund trainer and there's lots of schutzhund GSD's there.
  3. I drank a 5 hour energy about a week ago and it did nothing for me - but caffeine is my drug of choice so I might just be a hard case.
  4. Erik - Many Hampton Inns are dog friendly. Please post a pic of the new edition. BTW - Samson eats GS's for lunch (see avitar)
  5. Good advice Nik - I do the same thing. Warpspeed - good to know the T6 can be changed - that's the way they should be. For the price - I just bought the Caldwell. I have a rifle class in Feb and want something that I can hear people talking with and still keep my ears warm
  6. Yep - it seems that the Peltor T6 is made upside down - the fat part is at the bottom. The Caldwell seems to have a better shape to help avoid hitting the stock.
  7. I'm looking for low profile electronic muffs that (1) don't get moved when I get a cheek weld on a long arm, and (2) don't cost an arm-and-a-leg. The prices in this area run from $50 - $350 Any good experiences? Here are some I'm considering: Caldwell Emax lo pro Howard Leight Impact lo pro Peltor Tactical 6 The Peltor is the only name I recognize - but they look the fattest below the ear - where it can hit the stock. Thanks for you thoughts.
  8. I have a CM straight trigger, drop-in model and love it. I love the straight trigger over the traditional curved. Mine is not creepy at all.
  9. Cool thread. Here's mine - a 10/22 "Krink Plinker" SBR with an SWR Warlock can: The triangle stock folds just like a real Krink. I just removed the red dot and put on my Weaver 1-3x - love it!
  10. Not sure if the Dave Mathews Band is specifically rock - but anything live by them is great. One of the best live bands and pure musicians around today. Back in the late 80's I saw Santana live. I didn't really like them before the concert - but was blown away by their live performance. The bands who are better in concert than recorded - I have a lot of respect for . . .
  11. That was a good read - thanks.
  12. Mods - please close this thread. thx.
  13. North - I feel ya man! I've been through as similar holiday experience
  14. Well, they're gone! My wife is mad at me because I'm elated they're gone.
  15. 1. Wii - Mario Kart Racing - I rock this world! 2. Ping Pong Table - love it! OK - they were my kids' gifts, but I love them too.

    In-Laws

People with pets should make sure that they are model animals or NOT bring them to your house! Peeing in the house is ridiculous. Making your dogs go outside is ridiculous. My sister in law brought her German Shepard to stay with us for TWO WEEKS over the holidays. Thank goodness our Great Dane and her German Shepard like each other. It would have been a LONG two weeks otherwise. They like each other so much, they will skip meals in order to play. Merry Christmas BTW!
  19. I believe the M1 is no longer made - I have one and love it! M2 is an M1 except the the comfortec stock thingy that many feel takes some of the kick out. Is the stock the only difference between an M1 and M2? I have an M1 and love it.
  20. +1. You can get a job in ANY area of the country, good pay and you can work part time or non-standard hours if you wish.
