  1. Benny Hill shortened mine for a reasonable price.
  2. Our mattress is 10 years old and needs replacing. We're considering the Tempor-pedic or Sleep Number beds - or anything else that might be good. Does anyone have one of those mattresses and what's your opinion. Thx. Cy

    New ride!

THAT was awesome. I'd love to take a performance driving class . . .
  4. zhunter - I love your avatar!! Now back to the thread . . .
  5. M&P Pro with a trigger job. I had mine done by Dan Burwell and it's awesome: DB I hear that Scott Springer does good M&P triggers as well.
  6. The Sig p250 looks very innovative - you can change whole grips and slides to make it full, compact and sub-compact: p250 Anyone handle with one? What's the scoop on the "short trigger." Any other feedback?
  7. Frank has shot before.
  8. Congrats and thanks for sharing!
  9. Oh man.. the visual... sorry It is funny in a way. I'm sure our neighbors think - "here comes that A-hole with that crazy giant dog again" Samson is good with small dogs while on a leash - and has even been bitten by small dogs on many occasions. I think they're afraid of his size. He has never hurt or been aggressive to small dogs except the pug next door. That pug incessantly barks at Samson. When Samson sees him out on a walk, he goes after him and I imagine him saying in dog language - "yeah, now what-cha have to say MoFo!"
  10. We DVR his show. My wife is making a tape to send in to Caesar on our 1 year old Great Dane, Samson. Samson is very sweet and good with other dogs off leash at the dog park - but on the leash he wants to KILL other big dogs. My wife can't walk him anymore because he'll drag her down the street trying to fight We've read Caesar's books and make sure Samson is calm, submissive to us, but nothing works in that situation other than manhandling him. At 145 pounds and still growing, that's doable, but not easy. We're hoping Caesar will come do his magic.
  11. Thanks for all the advice. I took it Goodyear and they put it on the lift. It has two busted ball joints (about $500 to fix), multiple small oil leaks and a coolant leak. Glad I took it. I'm going to pass.
  12. yes, but I'm less mechanically inclined than you. I do a lot of garage gunsmithing , but I don't do heavy lifting work on cars. Even so, I'm tempted to pull the trigger.
  13. Thanks again Dave. There's no more slop in the steering than in my 2002 Suburban that I just sold and was in great shape. For $1k, I might just take a chance. Would you do it?
  14. I drove it today. It needs an alignment, but otherwise drove great. It's also 4x4 - which I didn't realize. Its' nice to have, but in GA, you don't need 4x4 a lot. The tranny shifted perfectly and the engine seems solid. Can you tell if it needs front end parts (ball joints, tie rods, idler & pitman) by driving it? It seemed really solid. Thx.
  15. Engine is the 350. Not sure what the tranny is - and that's my fear - the tranny goes out and it costs $2k to repair. Any thoughts? Also - how much/hard is an AC to replace? Thx.
  16. I'd like to have a beater SUV and can buy a 1996 Tahoe for $1k from a friend. AC doesn't work, 210k miles, otherwise in good mechanical condition - but who knows with that many miles . . . Opinions appreciated.
  17. +1. I have a Cav lower with a CMMG lightweight flattop middy - light and love it. BTW - IMO if the machining is done well and the holes are in the right place, then any decent lower will do.
  18. I feel your pain! Good luck with it.
  19. Well done Joe. How is the reset - like a Glock 3.5?
  20. b Sorry to drift on Aristotle's excellent thread . . . but simply adding a Volquartson target hammer to my 10/22 dropped the trigger to 2 pounds.
  21. I love this little rifle! I bought a used 10/22 locally and the guy sold me the rifle and the krink kit for $300. With SBR and the can, I have $400 in taxes on this gun. The mag well is very tight on it, but the Tactical Inc. mags work great.
  22. That's awesome! I'd love to do a match like that. Here's my new .22 fun gun: Krink Plinker 10/22 kit SBR with 8.5" barrel and SWR Warlock suppressor
