  1. Shoot SS. Have 4 pouches on belt. Start with one loose mag and gives me 4 more on my belt. Load 8 plus 1 in the first so I start with 9 in first mag. So I have 41 rounds for a 32 rd field course. Just enough as long as I count it out right. IMO Thanks, Mike
  2. I guess this is why IDPA is losing shooters to USPSA and 3 GUN. Make something rule heavy and it becomes a turn off very quickly. IMO Thanks, Mike
  3. Or you could top off to 9 and reload if there is any movement in the course. Thanks, Mike
  4. So needless to say the reshoot did not happen, even thought the shooter did not ask for one and the MD said he could take one. Time to have HQ make a decision to have the benifit of doubt goes to the shooter. This was a bad call due to the S/O giving the walk thru incorrectly. Mike
  5. Why not try a soda can. Cut a piece of can the size you need and slide into place. It should take up the slack in the dovetail. Thanks, Mike
  6. If you are talking about a 1911, yes go to 16 lb spring from Springco USA/Tactical springs llc standard spring 16 lb has a red mark at the end. They work well. Thanks, Mike
  7. will not know if able to go til August. That is why I am asking. Thanks, Mike
  8. I use Bayou Bullets. The green coated ones. It is a 225 gr fp. Load with 4.1 of Clays. I run a bore snake through it two or three times and it is clean. I beleive that the bullets you are using are too soft. Call Donnie at Bayou or email him (great guy) will help you. Thanks, Mike
  9. IT IS NOT WHAT YOU DO, BUT WHO YOU ARE AND WHO YOU KNOW. RULES ONLY APPLY IF YOU ABIDE BY THEM. MIKE
  10. Check the slide stop for alignment. Also check the barrel for the bottom feet to see if they are worn. There is a BHP forum on 1911forum. Ask there. Thanks, Mike
  11. IDPA is getting so rule heavy. Will need someone to check everyone's gear and ammo, clothing, etc to make sure HQ says you can play now. Mike
  12. Use overlay, but doesn't look like a hit Mike
  13. Been shooting Bayou Bullets for several years. 225 45ACP FP RN with Clays. No mess, not alot of smoke, makes PF. Clean weapon after 700-1000 rounds. Run a bore snake thru it three times and it is clean. It is great. Thanks, Mike
  14. Clays is good. If you cann't find that, try 231 or HP-38. Mike
  15. I use Bayou Bullets 225 FP RN 4.3 grs of Clays. Maybe at the top of the chart, runs well in all my 1911 45's. Makes major. Do not know anything about e3. Thanks, Mike

  18. I am 58, I just get out and shoot as well as I can. If I get into sr, so be it. I do not feel that my age has anything to do with it. I overcome all the aches and pains, deal with it after the match. I do enjoy listening to the folks younger then me talk about their aches and pains during the match. Shut the hell up, put your big boy pants on and shoot the match. I do enjoy beating the younger shooters. Thanks, Mike
  19. Use Clays for lead and moly bullets. Solo 1000 for jacketed. Thanks, Mike
  20. Sinclair is legal for FTR. Mike
  21. Smart thing to do is toss them out. Mike
