Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Currently got them at 1.175 and they fed perfectly. I will get them chronoed to make sure they make major, but I'm planning on leaving them like that.
  2. I got to the bottom of my problem, and it's an embarrassing one for me...... Lack of Lube Went to a practice last night and still had all sort of problems, a friend who has much more experience with 2011 and SVI's in general had a look at it for me. He quickly found the lack of lube problem, lubed it up and it ran perfect after that. A little embarrassing for me, but I'm glad it was such a simple problem to fix.
  3. If I remember right, the 10mm and 40 S&W are both straight line cases, and head space on the cartridge mouth. If you shoot 40 S&W in a 10mm barrel then it's not head spaced correctly and can cause problems.
  4. Hello, I tested some different loads at the weekend with a chrono. They all fed fine but power was an issue. I loaded them to 1.19 but was still using the same amount of N340 (5.2 grains) and my power factor was about 155. I plan to make them a little shorter and add a little powder.
  5. Thanks I will do this, borrow the clubs chrono and get to work Yeap, nearly lunch time, and no rain. In fact so far 2 weeks of Sun shine so far, which as you might of guessed, is pretty unusual.
  6. LOL, I'm in the UK, it's 10:30am here. I thought about mags, so I've numbered them and checked. It happens with all my mags. The gun and mags are only 4 months or so old. I had heard that 2011's like long rounds, will I need more powder to make major if I make them longer? I was struggling to make major with the load data from the manufacturers web site as it was. I will run a few tests and see where I can get the rounds
  7. Hello, I hope someone can help, as I have a problem with my new SVI in 40 S&W with getting my load right for feeding and ejecting. I'm having the odd hiccup on feeding with my own loads, I'm using 180 grain, poly covered lead heads. 5.2 grains of N340 and a OAL of 1.14. It's not all the time, just some time, and it's either a failure to feed, or a failure to eject. Can anyone spread some light on my my problem? I've tried a few different length, and powder but nothing seemed of completely cured it yet. What does anyone suggest?
  8. Hello, I have just moved from a CZ Tact Sport to a SVI, I used the DPM system on the CZ and I am planning on buying it for the SVI. In short I found it worked great and took just about all the recoil out of the gun. I haven't tried it with my gun yet, but we have another guy at the range with a Bull 2011 and he likes it too, I had an issue with fitting it, and the guys from DPM really went the extra mile to take care of me too. So not only would I recommend the product, I can say that the owners are great guys too.
  9. This is currently in Germany waiting for it's export paperwork, I can't wait to get my hands on it Been a tough 14 month wait.
  10. I'm currently waiting for mine to be built, ordered it last July...... The wait is killing me.
  11. Hello, Just a silly question that has been bugging me. Why do people like to disable the slide lock back on the last round? What advantage does it give to disable this?
  12. According to the IPSC Global village the bushing model is not standard...... There is no barrel bushing on the regular S2. We have it on the two guns that were shown at IWA as custom made guns. We were thinking about to use it on the Standard SAO Shadow or on the Orange model which will be out in a year time approx.
  13. I live in Europe too, I bought directly from DPM. According to his website, this is the US dealer. https://dpmsystems.us/ Yes, it works in the 40 cal TS.
  14. I know this is a little old, but I'll add my experience here. I have the DPM system for my CZ75 Tactical Sport and I find it great. It has helped a little with recoil, but as most people have already said, the recoil isn't that much anyway. More importantly I woudl say it changes the recoil slightly, it's not as snappy, it pushes it back a little more. The owner of DPM is a true gent too, help went above and beyond helping me. It changes the look of the front a little too, I really like the new look.
  15. Hello, I've been after a new 1911 for some time, I had a Series 70 Colt, but it just wasn't right for me. Last night I finally picked up my new 1911, it's a Les Baer Concept V. So far 100 rounds though it, all of them cycled fine. It just feels great in teh hand and I'm looking forward to shooting the next IPSC competition with it.
