  1. Stick to your gameplan is right, unless you are CAPT. CHAOS like me. Just ask anybody I shoot with. If there is a way to screw it up just watch me. But I have a great time with folks at the range in USPSA and IDPA matchs. Mike
  2. 16 lb recoil and 23 lb mainspring for a 5" 45 ACP is what you should run if you are shooting major and do n ot want any problems. I have been shooting 45 ACP in competion and for carry. No issues. I do not use a buff at all. No frame batter. Thanks, Mike
  3. 10 WILSON EMT'S and 8 47D's work great thanks, mike
  4. I use Clays for 45 ACP moly bullets, Solo 1000 for 9mm plated. We\hen I run out I have HP38 for both. Mike

    26

Hey everybody, Came across Sneaky Petes Holsters. They show a holster for a Glock 26. Does anyone have one and can I use the Pearce Magazine extensions with this holster? Thanks in advance. Mike
  8. Do not try Solo 1000 with moly bullets, way too smokey. Clays or 231 is fine Mike
  9. The website puts you in a loop
  10. I just sent this to Donnie at Bayou Bullets: Donnie, I recieved the 225 gr FP 45 ACP bullets. Made up 100 and shot a match with them. Let me tell you buddy, the gun ran fine, as accurate as always and never missed a beat. Fast shipment to me and the price works also.(Think I got them in 3 days.) You will be getting more of my business. Thanks again, Mike Merkler
  11. have a Garrett IWB holster for my Commander, it is hard chromed this holster is leatherlined and it still gets marred up. Gives it character Mike
  12. I only use 5 singles. Plus have a starter mag in my backpocket. I use Comp-tec and Dillion Leather singles. Mike
  13. Look at Comp-tek I use 3 singles 13/4 inch and have some old Dillion leather a single and a double so I have 6 to start and one in by back pocket to start the stage. Mike
  14. Before N320 was around, the powder folks used for 45 acp was 231. It works well, meters well, not too dirty. Mike
  15. Wilson will say they are illegal, because he doesn't sell them in his store or on line. Mike
  16. I have found if the weapon is properly throated, OAL should be 1.245-1.25 for a lead swc moly or not. Should work as slick as s**t through a goose. Mike
  17. I use the 230 RNFP from Precision or their 200 SWC with Clays. Not alot of smoke, very accurate nand they work. Of course, the 1911 is designed for the 230 RN bullet at about 850 t0 875 fps. Thanks, Mike
  18. I have small hands also. In useing the Glock, I use a weak hand release and reload. I have done this for years. It works and do not even think about what I am doing. Trigger finger I put on the side of the slide so a S/O R/O can see finger outside trigger graud. I even use the same thing when shooting a 1911. Give it a try and practice it. It may work for you. Mike
  19. Solo 1000 works well with jacketed bullets Clays is better with lead. Thanks, Mike
  20. Well, Here it is in a nut shell. I have been shooting and setting up IDPA since 1996 in Texas. With the new rulebook and testing guide lines. I will only renew my membership. I will let my SO certs lapse. I understand that all the Tiger Teams are doing is muddy up the murky waters more. I will shoot, help paste, set steel, but let the younger crowd run the matches. 21. Hey guys, Need a little help (some say I need alot of help LMAO). 1911 full size 45 ACP. Raked slide back, let slide go forward, pull trigger, seems like trigger goes to half coc. Now if I rake the slide back and let it go forward, engage the safety, then remove safety and pull trigeer, it falls all the way. Is there a problem with the hammer and sear connection, trigger reset or what? Thanks for the information in advance. Mike
  22. Hey guys, Wanted to tell you a small story about dealing with Allen at Raasco Grips. I had ordered 2 pairs of their slim line grip panels for a 1911 5" pistol. Recieved them in and they were the half checkered tactical series in Rosewood Burgundy. They fit the pistol like they should. Went out to shoot a match and after the match(150-175 rds) I noticed a chip on the top of the left side panel and another one on the ride panel. I use a very large ambi safety and the bottom of the safety was rubbing on the grip. Sent an email to Allen with Raasco. He asked me to ship them back so he could look them over. Well in about 4-5 days I recieve a package from Raasco. They had repaired both panels and they look brand new. This was all done at N/C to me. It is hard to fine a company today that will stand behind their product. I have found them. Good people to deal with and have the right stuff. Thanks, Mike Merkler
