Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Main focus right now are rifle matches 300-1000 yds. We do have some informal IDPA matches. Maybe I should think smaller for now and see how much interest we get before suggesting 3 gun. The Outlaw sounds cool. Just hate not having anything around here to shoot. I am in Nothern, DE about 20 mins from Philadelphia.
  2. I am trying to get my club to start 3-gun tournaments. The idea is getting run by the Board at the next meeting to see if it is something they want to move forward with. My question is, is there a source that goes into detail of how to get it up and running? I would most likely have to assemble a team and need basics on how many people it takes for set-up, judges, etc. Just entry level stuff that I can present to the club. Any help is appreciated. I have read some things on 3gunnation's website already. Just looking for a lot of info I can sift through to gain more knowledge on the subject. I'm sure if it happens, the first year will be a learning curve on the ins/outs but hoping we can get it done. There is nothing for 3-gun within 1.5 hours of here that I can find.
  3. That is awesome, thanks for the tip! What size drill/tap/die did you use?
  4. Got the jam nut on. Had to force the first 2-3 threads then it was fine. All hooked up and ready to rock
  5. I almost have the same exact setup except for I use a tumbler w/ dry media and no Mr Bulletfeeder...yet. How do you like it so far with 223?
  6. between my wife, in-laws and myself, I got a case feeder for my 2nd xl650, Dillon swager, and an RT-1500 trimmer
  7. where it screws into the press it is the same. I am talking about the upper threads on the trim die that are 13/16"-20. The trimmer comes with a jam nut but it will not screw onto the die.
  8. I was installing my new trimmer last night and the 13/16" jam nut that comes with it would not thread onto the trim die upper threads. The trimmer itself threads on fine so I am thinking it is the jam nut that is out of spec. I am waiting on a reply from customer service but did not know if anyone knows if you can buy these things at Lowes or HD.
  9. you know what, great question. Considering it did not happen on every mag I might have. I will have to pay closer attention to my grip next outing.
  10. I loaded up some 230gr LRN with 5.0 gr Win231 and the stock 18# spring shot all with no failures but slide would not lock open after the last shot on some mags. Wondering if I should go to a 16 and try it out. The load shot amazingly well so don't really want to change that.
  11. Can get one for free with my Amazon points or I can get the Springer Precision one. Amazon only has the stainless available from Springer and I wanted black but if it is that much better, I'll get it.
  12. Have to go try to get in as a walk-on for my first USPSA this weekend (I'm 38). Nervous as h#ll. Funny how no matter how many years you have been shooting and how familiar you are with your guns...you can still get these nerves.
  13. that is what I had before when I had my Hornady LNL AP...it was ok. Does not work on rifle though which is why I want the Dillon
