  1. Well Kyle beat me to it, so I'll just pile it on. Well done Chad !!! I tried, but I think Kyle was pulling for his Home town buddy and caused me to have a No-shoot on his stage which was one of the two that swung the win to Chad................Thanks KYLE Good to see the rest of you, keep up the good work. Hop
  2. Yep, Help out a fellow gun owner, that seems to be a problem now anyway. Besides.............. It's a MUSTANG !!!!!! The only thing better would have been a F4u Corsair !!!! Hop Oh and up to 17% and in first place
  3. I don't know. BUT, I suggest ya'll get it posted to the ICORE website ASAP. Hop
  4. Finally home from a long round trip from Jackson MS to San Antonio TX to New Stanton PA to Ramer TN. I want to say a big YEE HAA to John and the rest of the Mississippi section for not only the BIGGEST Mississippi classic ever (160+ shooters) but I would say one of the funnest matches I've shot in a VERRY LONG time. I had to shoot and scoot to go to TX to attend the funeral of my friend so I didn't get to do the shoot and visit thing but that is just one of those things, maybe next time. 14 wheelgunners showed up to Honor Tim and I know he's well remembered and would be touched. More were coming but had to change divisions and or skip but "thems the knocks". This match is a MUST shoot for wheelgunners, it has had more in the last 3 years than all other sections and many Area matches so put it on your calendar just as soon as it is announced next year. See ya'll then. Hop
  5. Well after a marathon trip from Jackson MS, to San Antonio, TX, to Ramer TN, to New Stanton, PA I made it home. The match was Awesome, I shot OK but left room. We'll see when the smoke clears. I got to see a bunch of new "BE" shooters and it was good to do so, and good to see old friends too. Fun shooting on Squad 16, only thing is they tape and set up stages as good and fast as they shoot so there was hardly ever any down time. Thanks to all who worked. Congrats to all who organized, and worked thier BUTTS off. Congrats to the winners when it all ends up. Hop

    Cancer !

Got the news this morning that Micheal passed away last night. He is in a better place, with Jesus and no pain. Pray for his wife Dawn, and 3 daughters. Michaela, Sarah, and Elizabeth 14,11,and 7 respectively. Also, Pray for his Mother and Father as no parent should outlive their children. Micheal, I'll see you again one of these days. Until then I'll keep you in my memories! Sam
  7. Huntsville, The home of one of the BEST 3-gunners in the US/World (and he hosts some pretty good matches) within 3 hrs driving distance of at least 5 clubs (Birmingham, Anniston, Corinth MS, Nashville TN, Manchester TN) and may be more. Winters are MUCH more mild than what you are used to. Summer is a little longer, and a good bit HOTTER and muggier(HUMID) but after a few years you still won't be used to it. Hopalong
  8. OK Ben, I have a holster, moonclips, moonclip holders. YOU supply the GUN (That I have ) , ammo, and a belt. that way we can make one more to the majic 20 !!!! You can shoot production at the TN Production/Single Stack match in October. Hop
  9. Looks Like I'll be talking SMACK ! But then again, with Ben that's not too hard. He is from ARKANSAS !!!! Hop
  10. Cross Roads Sport Shooting Assn in Glen, Mississippi ( Corinth ) will be hosting an eight stage, NON santioned USPSA match on May 31st starting at 10:30 AM ALL proceeds will go to the Coleys' to get Shane and his mother to BALI to represent the US Jr. Team. IF you can attend that would be best, IF not just send $20.00 and your well wishes. Maps and info can be found at: www.crssa.com Or you can PM me from this forum. this will be a NO trophy, NO payback, ALL Bragging rights FUNdraiser...........(that's also why the non sanctioned part) so you can bring a gun you have always wanted to shoot but just haven't because it might get you classified higher, or too high in a new division The Range will only use enough of the entry money to cover expenses (targets, pasters, Ice, ect.) all else goes to the Coleys' If you would like to attend please send me your entry via snail mail, or PM me and give me a heads up you are coming.(we'll take your $ that morning too ) So here's the rest. Send me your: Name: Phone: E-mail: Division and class and $25.00 if you are going to shoot, IF you are not able to shoot send me $20 and I'll put it in the pile. Send it to: PM me and I'll give you an Address (I'd rather not give it out on a Public forum) I hope ya'll understand. Thanks, Hopalong
  11. Looks like fun to be had by all. Ben, Your POS is ready, So you now can get in touch with John and change Divisions . See ya'll there, I'll bring my rusty ole 25 and try and remember how to make it dance. Hop
  12. Dennis, Since Gregg will have his 625, I see no reason WHY you don't go ahead and shoot yours!!!!! :popcorn1: (and No " I haven't been practicing" BS either !!! ) And tell any and all wheelgunners you know to be there. I'll see you there, Hop
  13. Ok you fence sitters, I spoke with the Main man yesterday (John) and he said he did not count them but he's pretty sure there are over 15 revolver shooters registered for the match. SO................ IF you would like to shoot in a match where there are more than 2 or 3 other wheelgunners, AND you would like a chance at winning a slot to the 2009 Nationals (top 3 get one) AND you would like to kick my butt since I'm quite rusty at the time. SO................ get on the ball, and off your ass and get your entry in. Hop

    Cancer !

Well, I got the news today that all efforts of treatment are halted and Michael will be at home under Hospice/home nurse care. I've been back to TX to see him twice since he's been diagnosed with it. Looks like one more really soon to make sure I get to see him again before he loses the fight. Please pray for his wife, and 3 daughters. Hop
  15. I have complete confidence in my CR speed and have no worries about it so that is no problem, besides why buy something if it is not needed? If you are going to do a steel match I suggest ADVERTISE. I usually don't do steelmatches since I am usually at a USPSA match somewhere. Hop
  16. Not much Chatter here !!!!!! SOOOOOOO, I'll get something started !!!! I hear that the Match Director is buying all the BEER Saturday after all the shooting is done !!!! Hop
  17. Chris, Shhhhhhh............ Don't say that too loud, or often..................... Some people will call you a LIAR !!!! And Others just won't believe you !!! Hop
  18. Edit to remove a really screwed up post since I post as well as I keep my gun in my holster !!!
  19. Try a search on the 646, it has been discussed a good bit for as few as there are of them. (900) of the full underlug and I don't know how many PC guns but I'd bet less. K frame Mike, I shoot my 646 in ICORE since IDPA went the 165,000 Power factor for moonclip guns. Shooting .40 S&W at the "major" level is not quite what I would call "fun". It is a really fun little gun to shoot at 130,000 Pf using 180 grn bullets though. and reloads as quick as my .45 N frames too !!!!! HOP
  20. What it really is.................. Our boys and gals at the Cross Roads Club are just that good of hosts that they let every one else win the goodies. AND........... I and the rest of the others that would have attended the 3-gun thing ARE from TENNESSEE HOP
  21. Great match !!!!! Stages that tested many fun and challenging skills. Kind of small turnout, maybe the gas prices and such Who knows? If you were thinking about making the trip but didn't you missed another 10 stages of Arkansas finest. Thanks Tom and the rest of the crew. Hopalong
  22. I may have talked another one into coming this weekend when I was at the Arkansas sectional. (hopefully) Hop
  23. Buzz, JUST shooting this year. Work is planned for now. (funny thing though, My boss is taking off on Friday and going to be down there) See ya'll there. Sam
  24. Well see here, SOME of US Tenneseeans would have gladly come over and KICKED all you Alabama shooters BUTTS just like we did on the FOOTBALL field last year................. T BUT: You Alabama guys are a bunch of little fraidey cats and schedule your little ole 3-gun match the same weekend as the MS classic..........ONE of the PREMIER matches in the south.......... so we all don't come down, over, or from any direction and give a liberal dose of BUTT BUSTING again !!!! Oh and that includes the one Sooie PIG guy too !!! So go ahead and have your little 3-gun match, and we'll keep all the "Whoop AZZ" cans closed and just save them for the next time. Until then, Good Ole ROCKY TOP !!!!!! Hop
