Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I sent my check last Monday and still have not been accepted into the match, anyone else in the same boat?
  2. Anyone been able to get a hold of the staff through the email listed? I've asked about a refund twice and no response for a week now.
  3. Well run match. The stages failed due to the one trick pony of the "over the top" swingers.
  4. ctay, How is random fair when it adds time to your run compared to your competition?
  5. The target I've dealt with is random. One shooter would activate it, shoot another target then go to it and it was right there. The next guy would try the same and it would hide behind the barrels and take quite a while to come out(sometimes).
  6. Should winger swingers be legal at a level III match? If you've ever shot one you know they act different every time and can stay hidden one time and appear right away the next. A .5 second difference or more is like getting dealt a NPM compared to the guy that "got lucky" with the thing. How would a stage hold up if someone arbitrated against it? Video of one for people that have not seen them yet:
  7. And what rule do you cite for that? Or have you had this local rule approved by NROI? The MD gave 6 of us a DNF on the last stage at the last match... Some of us helped tear down and put away but we didn't help enough so he zero'd our last stage. We had the largest squad and finished after everyone. We tore the stage down, loaded everything on the trailer, a couple guys went and put the target stands and walls in one conex and the MD drove over to the other trailer and a couple other guys put the sticks and whatever was left into another conex. The last guys didn't get a DNF but 6 of us did. In spite of the fact we ran shooters and scored the whole match. If we get a DNF for not putting everything away it is only right for people who don't stand in the sun running shooters or keeping score to get a DNF also... I feel like I got screwed over. To follow USPSA rules, next time it will be a match DQ for unsportsmanlike conduct. Consider the fact that a few(3 or 4) people spent hours setting the match up for you and you can't seem to give them 5 minutes to put things away.
  8. Stage 2 had only had 16 shooters out of 127 in limited come away without a penalty. Getting your hit on that swinger wa luck, no skill. Stage had only had 23 shooters out of 127 in limited come away without a penalty. The Limited match winner shot 84% of the points.
  9. My opinion is that they went to far on the difficulty. It became clear to everyone that you needed to be lucky(not good) to get your hits on some of the swinger. I like challenging stages, but give me a plate a 30 yards, not a moving target with a no-shoot on it. People practice to hard and travel to far to come and have to roll dice to see if they do well.
  10. So you have to unscrew the guide rod if you want to disassemble the gun. Do you use a loctite to keep it from unscrewing? Anyone have pictures of a tunnel that has been modified to allow disassembly without unscrewing the guide rod?
  11. Because this is a 6 inch, there does not seem to be enough clearance for the guide rod to come out the same way a 5 inch gun does.
