  1. Pat, Good to see you again at Pan-Am. You didn't look too bad when I watched !!! Hop (sam)
  2. Oh, by the way. If we can get 20+ Heavy Metal shooters we'll give away an M1a to someone in the HM division !!!!!! (How's that for an incentive?) HOP The evil MD
  3. Match hotel is the Hampton Inn, Corinth MS this year. We don't have the thing in writing but there will be a cheaper rate than normal and when I get the rate and code I'll let you know. Hop
  4. I guess I'll miss ANOTHER Area-6 match. I missed the last 2 because of work. This one because of too far. I'll catch another area match closer (maybe) HOP
  5. South too !!!! Good to see you again TOM, enjoyed to little chat time even though it wasn't very long. Hop
  6. Rolling Thunder, Hands DOWN !!!! Hop
  7. Thanks all, It was fun. Merlin, You have to remember that I'm from Tennessee. I DON'T wear shoes, I shoot a "Hawgleg" and the favorite drink is "mountain dew"(Moonshine, to those who didn't catch it) See ya'll in Memphis, IF you want to get a good 10 stage match in before that, try the Tennessee section the last weekend in September. Hopalong
  8. I was lucky enough to talk to her this weekend where she lost out of High Lady Open REVOLVER by .03 of a second at the Central States ICORE wheelgunners revenge!!!! Way to go Sarah, enjoy and have fun. (Keep kicking butt too) Hopalong
  9. I shoot 5 inch, 6 inch, and 6 1/2 inch model guns in USPSA.(.45 cal) I have been to the range with all lengths, and on the timer there is no difference in my normal drills. I would spend the money to change barrels on bullets and practice if I were you. If your 610 (5 inch seems to me the best of all worlds) shoots good (2 inches or less at 25 yds) off a sandbag or ransom rest type holder you have a revolver good enough for any USPSA/ICORE match in the US or elsewhere. I really like my tapered barrel 6 and 6 1/2 inch guns, but I'm kind of a traditionalist. Good luck, good shooting. Make the trip to Memphis this November, and you'll get to see more revolvers than you can shake a stick at !!!! (Memphis Charity Challenge) Hopalong
  10. Just a reminder. IF you want to get in a 3-gun match similar (but without all the ARMY goodies)to and BEFORE the Ft. Benning 3-gun Challenge come shoot the MS 3-gun Challenge. The Main Staff for the MS 3-gun challenge is also staff at the Ft. Benning 3-gun challenge. Most of us have staffed ALL the Ft. Benning 3-gun challenges and have an Idea of what goes on. We will be using the same rules, the same awesome Stats Lady (THanks Linda) and intend to have you tuned up for Ft. Benning (somewhat, we're NOT digging a trench in our range though) Info Here: http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=107001 Now back to the regularly scheduled programming !!!! This will be another AWESOME Ft. Benning 3-gun Challenge !!!!!! Thanks Hamp and the AMU !!!! Hopalong
  11. I agree with Micah !!!! But welcome to the club anyway. ! Now get down to Memphis and show us why you're a M in Revo !!!! Hop
  12. Thanks to all who had a hand in putting this match on the ground. I'll be back next year, had a good time and fun stages. Hop
  13. I just looked, WOW I was mistaken about where Augusta is in reference to Ramer, TN !!! Sorry, Won't make it for a club match. BUT if you'll put on a regional next year !!!! HOP
  14. Well Finally Home after a 1700 mile round trip. Man, what a match to shoot. I was suprised and impressed with the number of shooters (a little over 100) and how smooth the thing ran (started at 9 finished with awards ect. at 2). I got to shoot with COLT on the forums and the Kestler Clan (even after all day shooting with them I still called them the wrong names, but I was close) and a buddy from Memphis Bob B. I've got to say, shooting with that squad was not only a pleasure but an honor. (2 of the squad of 7 came home with guns too). Jeff, My hats off to you and your staff for a great match, well run and fun stages. (I'd like another shot at the all steel stage though) I want to thank all the range officers, and the stage builders on a great job. Fun stages, and effecient smooth work from the staff. COLT shot a really strong match himself and I was impressed. I got to see Gary, Tom, Steve, Sue, MASTER Sarah and a few of the other regular USPSA shooters I know, but on the whole I was a little out of place as there were a bunch of yankees walking around !!! I think I might like this ICORE stuff, IF there was just some a little closer. 4 hrs is the closest club to me and I'm a little too busy to start one myself. Enjoyed the new friends, see ya'll next year. Thanks everyone. Hopalong
  15. Whew, and I was getting tired of holding the computer upside down !!! Thanks John, Hope all is well down there. HOP
  16. Jessee, Look into flying to Nashville TN ( BNA )is the airport code (Southwest is who I recomend) It is not quite a 2 hr drive from the airport. HOP
  17. Lets try this, I stuck it in the scanner upside down but it will work fine. HOP ms3-gun entry 2010.pdf
  18. ASK and you shall RECIEVE !!!! Entry form is attached. (well I thought it was attached, let me work on it) We'll be shooting 7 minimum stages 8 most likely (like last year) and we'll still limit the match to 75 shooters. Match Hotel will be the Hampton Inn this year. We're working out a deal for rates so hold on a little while for that. Potential Sponsors, please contact Chad Lofton his contact info is on the attachment. Please wait until after the Pan-Am shotgun Championship to send you entries to Linda. When you do. ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ENVELOPE MARK MS 3-GUN CHALLENGE otherwise you will make LINDA mad at you and ME !!!!(Something I don't want). Stages are being finalized so round numbers are still being changed. We moved our match so there would not be a schedule conflict with the OZARK 3-gun championship so the match will fill quickly. Don't be late. See you in October. Hopalong OK, let's see if this works. Entry and info:

  20. YES I do , but I don't have the time off to prove it !!! You got lucky this time, Lady Killer !! Hop
  21. We already have a place for open revolvers...................in the OPEN division !!!! Now maybe that division needs a "revolver" catagory ???? The biggest thing right now I can see is to open up the revolver division to the 8 shot guns and make them have to shoot MINOR..........Kind of like SSTK with the 10 shot magazines vs the 8 shot magazines and shooting Major. And/or a speedloader catagory in the revolver division, but i'd suggest the other first. Hopalong and, to get the other revolver shooters from other disciplines. You have to get them to open themselves to shooting USPSA type of shooting first.
  22. Brent, Can we come by Sat afternoon and take a look at you guys shooting ? I'd love to see how it is done North of the Border (Tennessee border that is) Hop
  23. I must take back the A-3 prognstication, Matt is not shooting and I only see 3 wheelgunners signed up. SO............. I'll have to go with Carmoney on this one. Have you guys noticed a small drop in wheelgunners as an average at the Area matches ???? I think A-8 doesn't have but about 5 or 6 which is a suprise they always have more than 10 (in the recent past). I also will say BUCKET will take A-2 if he gets out there. HOP
  24. Ahmmm. Mr. Lady Killer, I was talking about Division champs at the Area matches. Hop
