Like El Prez. shoot left to right, reload right to left.......ect. ect. and so on. (GOOD Practice) incase you hit a stage where it is all right to left ect., ect. and so on. But what do I know ? Hop

Since we're a preview for Ft. Benning, and since they say HM is Irons, and we're going by their rules then it is Irons only for HM. (I've got to be able to get some kind of help against you "older" good shooters !!! Range Master Miller and I had a good conversation last night about what we're challenging you nice people with this year. He likes every thing but the 150 yd slug shots !!!! So...........Big Bear, What are your entries looking like ???? I'm just glad we're not both on the same weekend as last year. I unfortunately won't be able to attend your fine match (I have to set mine up) but I invite you guys to come down to the Mississippi 3-gun Challenge the weekend after your match. I haven't spoken to Linda since the Shotgun Championship in Kentucky last weekend, but she said she had several entries already. I expect to fill my match though. Good luck with yours, Sounds fun. Easy fix to that. Plug it to hold 8 in the tube. That does 2 things: 1 keeps you out of open 2 Keeps you from completely compressing the spring and making that last shell in the tube just a little easier to push up in there. Hop

As the match director those are the rules we'll be going by. ( same as Ft. Benning as that is where I got them from). Hop

Looking at last years matches and this years there seems to be less Major matches around. Comments please. (Since I'm new to this ICORE stuff) HOP

Heavy Metal Handgun Rules per the rules listed. 6.7.3.1.......Handguns must comply with Tactical Handgun rules with the following exceptions. 6.7.3.2............44 caliber bore or larger for all pistols and Revolvers. 6.7.3.3............NO more than 8 rounds allowed in any magazine @ any time. 6.7.3.3.1...........Violation of the 8 round magazine rule will be considered "Unsportsmanlike Conduct" & will result in a Match DQ. SO there you go. You can use your G^&%k in .45ACP but only have 8 rounds in them. HOP

Gary and I talked about the lack of entries while we were at Wheelgunners revenge 12. Several things came to mind (mine) about why they didn't get the entries they were looking for. 1. Late announcement........Most shooters have their year scheduled by April (and what vacation they may have). 2. Economy. (Nuff said) 3. Change of Venue from the original match AND new match management (not saying the original match management was better or worse, just different) 4. We can only attend so many matches in a year (Scheduled or not) goes back to #2 5. there are so many matches now that conflicts hamper others matches too. On the conflicts, I moved the MCC a weekend to get off of Halloween weekend because I know I lost 10+ shooters due to it. Now this year Area-2 is the weekend After MCC and although most of the westerners are not going to head to Memphis, there is that chance. Also, the LA gator classic that normally is the 3rd weekend in Oct have also moved back a week so now there is a major match 3 weekends in a row IF you wanted to go (and had a good understanding wife/husband). Gary, I'm sorry this happend for you. I know you really meant well. NOW you can really plan it out and put on a really special shooting match next year. (just announce it sooner) HOP
