  1. Now Just for ya'lls information..... Yes they have been making PPC loaded and unloaded components. Yes that is the Johnny Brister from MS (4 gun GM) and He knows what he is doing, wants in a bullet and would not let Joe produce any thing but good quality stuff and have any thing to do with it. Joe Tranam(sp) is as nice a guy you could want to meet, treats folks the way he wants to be treated. fair enough. I have been using some of his .45 230 grn fmj. Yes they do have a lead base. No they don't smoke or lead your gun, I am shooting a Revo I know what a dirty lead gun looks like and after 1500 rounds this week I finally cleaned it. I did comparative tests the other day with my 2 625s. They were both 100% CLEAN. After 50 of The Precision Deltas there was just a small "smoke" covering around where the cylider and the barrel meet. After 50 Precision (the black bullet) the other gun was pretty much Identical. I then cleaned them and retested. After 150 Precision Deltas I could rub the cylinder in the front and get a little discoloring on my fingers. After 150 Ranier Plated 230 grn (plated base) I could rub the cylinder and get some discoloring but not quite as much as the Deltas. I was using the same exact load for all, except the different bullet.... For the price I see no other way than to go with the precision Deltas, and man were thay accurate (stacked 6 all in one little wad at 25 yds) I have 20K "other' bullets to get rid of, then it will be Precision Deltas for me. FWIW Hopalong Note: I was using 4.4 grn Clays at factory .45 length.... this Chronoed: 164,800 with the Precision Deltas 166,900 with the Raniers 172,200 with the Precision (black bullets) I like them all and would recomend any of the 3, depending on price and availability. The Precision Deltas seem to be just a little more accurate in my 625s (both of them like the PD. bullets best of the 3) I will maybe take the Kimber out this weekend and do some testing with it....
  2. Firewalker, Glad to see you are still around !!!!! You know anything about Mike Luttrell's ICORE match? My guess is that the 33% drop did as Fredrick has, changed divisions completely. I myself no longer partake of IDPA aside from my local club but only 2 times so far this year. jKelly, If my memory serves me right, there were only 2 speed loader guns at last years Nationals but I have been wrong before. Good luck MR. Lowe, give it right back to STEVE (still enjoyed shooting with ya'll at the OHIO match) HOP
  3. Maybe with the "bad timing and all" Next year the Section will take it back to the USUAL last weekend in September like it had been. See ya'll there, bring something to drink !!!! It's gonna be HOT !!!! Hopalong And Airedale, shhhhh.....Keep it quiet about the great prize table, if no one shows up we will get to hit it several times !!!!!!!
  4. Ok, Our club in North Mississippi hosts the State IDPA championship every November for the last 3 years. Jerry came last year and cleaned everyones plow. If I got him to stay 1 more day(SUNDAY) how many of you would be interested in having a day with him???? SERIOUSLY !!!!!!! HOP

    My A Card

Tewlman, First of all congrats on the A card !!! You do know MR. Airedale recieved his B card this very month???? Also I think you have it backwards.....When are ya'll going to quit hiding in Limited and let us Revo dudes whip up on ya ??? I'm sure Airedale, Zookeeper, Fomiester (when he's not hiding) would be glad to have ya'll shooting some kick AZZ REVO fun..... Try it you might like it !!!! If I can do it any body can. EVEN Airedale makes it look easy !!!! HOPALONG
  7. he uses two different materials: Spring steel, and Stainless: The spring steel is a darker grey than the stainless which is a shinny silver color. Quick way to find out is put them on a magnet, the stainless should not stick if they are make from good low carbon stainless material. If no magnet and you have some cold blueing the spring steel will take the blueing, the stainless won't. Give it a whirl. Hopalong
  8. I agree with Airedale. Being in the Points series adds just a little more incentive to maybe hit that one more match.....But not with gas running 60 plus cents a gallon more(MO fall classic is a 6 hr ride.....gone)(A6 3-gun is a 5 hr ride....gone). There are those that can not be avoided......The ones that you are returning some kind of favor to those who came to yours ect. (Me ROing the MS Classic for them ROing the MS 3-gun ect.) My local club is 30 minutes away, no excuses to miss that one. Memphis is 2 hrs, Nashville is 2 hrs.....some club matches that may get missed unless I can get a passenger or 2 to help knock the gas cost down. Aside from that.....See ya'll in Dickson for the TN section match in 2 weeks. Hopalong PS. Airedale......you resemble that remark about wheel gunners
  9. But Dan..... How can we time the reloads on cloudy days if the sundial doesn't have Fiber optics???? Looking at your Auto Blaster, could a feller get the "design" off the topstrap and put on the Front and Rear sides of the slide???? or not enough material there for that type of cut???? It is a good looking Blaster even if it is a Recipricator. HOPALONG
  10. Hang in there, Keep your chin up, YOU are a Warrior Princess !!!!! Hoping for the best !!! HOP
  11. I agree with Airedale....Nice bottom feeder !!! But I heard that Chuck actually spits out the .45 acp empties on that belt fed BRT !!!!! HOPALONG
  12. Seems like somebody who keeps talking about Coondogs got their "B" card???? Correct me if I'm wrong Dave Hopalog
  13. Hey those are Live oak trees in the back ground !!!!! I haven't seen some of them in YEARS!!!!! Did not look very HOT down there.... every now and then (August in TN) I kind of think it was better in TX. Hopalong
  14. We shot this yesterday at my club match..... 2.60 30 Points.....11..???5 Hit factor, For revolver that would be 100% acording to OHIO classifier calculator and I would seem to agree....2.89 with 29 was 96% at USPSA. But I was shooting in L-10 and that will be 94.7??? in that division. Erik, smoking good runs......Vision getting better is it???? Hopalong (edit to add, timer said draw was 1.23)(and yes I was using the 625)
  15. Whoo Hoo !!!!!! I knew it was there......all this time, you just had to figure out how to get it out !!!! WAY TO GO !!!!!! See you in 2 weeks at TN section ???? If not, 4 weeks at MS 3-gun. HOP
  16. Well after not hearing from him much after Nationals, Cliff sneaks up to Georgia and demonstrates why he was 2nd at Nationals. Congrats to Master Walsh... Hopalong BTW......they had 7 show up to shoot.
  17. Rob, So does changing it out to a Millet, which is a whole bunch a stronger sight. IMO. I use the "medium" height .360 I think, correct me if I'm wrong Mike. Plenty of "depth" in that rear notch. (around 30 bucks from Brownells, if you have a Tax number) Hopalong
  18. Another day older, another day smarter !!!!! Another year older, just got to try harder !!!!!! Happy Birthday Flex Miester !!!!!! HOP
  19. Rob, I've found that if you unscrew the little screw right above the barrel, cylinder and put a Millet on there it is a whole lot easier, and that back blade is the same from top to bottom, no radius on the bottom to glare in the sun at you. Plus, if it ever screws up just send it back to Brownells, they will replace it. Hop
  20. Erik, I was just trying to make it less confusing to some. HOP
  21. String 1: draw and shoot 1 target of the left array 2 shots only freestyle, reload shoot 1 target of the right array 2 shots only freestyle !!! String2: draw and shoot 1 target of the 2 that remain of the left array with 2 shots freestyle, reload shoot 1 of the 2 remaining targets on the right with 2 shots strong hand only. String 3: draw and shoot the remaining target in the left array 2 shots only freestyle, reload shoot the remaining target on the right 2 shots weak hand only. Your choice of targets to shoot and most likely which side to start on if I know SG's devious mind. NICE KATHY !!! keeps the idea of "freestyle" in the standards. Hopalong
  22. 4th at Nationals........ I think the word is "UNDER - achiever" HOP
  23. I know it is a short notice, but Cross Roads Sport Shooting Assn. in Glen Mississippi will be hosting a Special USPSA Classfier match Sunday at 1:00PM. Maps and other information at www.crssa.com Also if your interested get your MS 3-gun application and send them in Hopalong Glen is a small(real small) community outside of Corinth Mississippi in the north east corner of the state.
  24. Woo Hoo !!!! Now that is more like it..... Mr. Clean
