  1. Here's the issue. If EVERY case has not been passed through the same chamber, then every case is going to have different pressure required for resizing. Now, add variable amounts of lube to the cases. Different resizing pressures will cause different amounts of flex in the press ram. Different amounts of press flex lead to deviations in the cutting length. How precisely you want your cases resized and trimmed will determine your order of operations. I've heard of people partially resizing/decapping, then finish size and trimming, then neck sizing there brass.
  2. There are quite a few motels in both Marble Falls and in Cedar Park about 20 minutes from the range down 1431. There is a Comfort Inn in Cedar Park along with a new Motel 6, La Quinta, Best Western and Holiday Inn Express. There are a few other just can't remember the names. The area is a good area I live 5 miles down 1431 from the motels.
  3. Thanks! Just what I wanted to see! I guess those that have the GSI have no complaints. Think I will order my 650 from Enos this weekend.
  4. I know a lot of you have a Mr. Bullet Feeder, any one using the GSI bullet feeder on a 650? Looking to load 9mm on the 650. I like the idea it sets the bullet besides just dropping it.
  5. If you have a standard 22" Mk1 barrel with that cantilever mount put a WTB add on here I sold my used but excellent condition barrel for like $80. A lot of shooters have gone to the ribbed 24-26" barrels
  6. The Brazo's guns are hard chromed and the trigger/grip safety have been tuned. I think the extra $260 is a pretty good deal.
  7. I just spread my wet brass on a towel in the garage when it is over 80 out (which is a lot here). If not turn on the oven at 190-200 degs and place them on a foil covered cookie sheet hour or so and they are done.
  8. Why not just buy a couple of boxes of mid range priced ammo? Like Speer, get some 115, 124, 147 and see what the gun likes. If it still shoots bad with a good store bought ammo in all 3 bullet weights send it back to Springfield.
  9. Edge has bull barrel, Eagle has bushed barrel
  10. Read over what Dave has written. He knows more about sights than anyone I have ever met.
  11. Since I don't have a 1050 (yet) and I really don't see a need in my case for a auto drive. I do have a question, how do you keep the primer tube full when with an auto drive, 100 primers will not last maybe 10 minutes? I've looked at the 1050 they have set up at Dillon and the tube looks the same as all their other reloaders.
  12. I load 2K 45 ACP a year but between 300-500 rds of 9mm a week.
  13. If you want to drive a bit, both Austin Rifle Club (Alamo Lone Star Practical Pistol club) and Temple Gun Club put on USPSA matches. Join TXIPSC.net for the latest updates on USPSA/3 Gum matches in Texas.
  14. I have a Redding T-7 and don't use the priming tool. Was thinking does anyone make a primer pocket swedging tool to replace the primer tool on the T-7?
  15. I'm keeping my 550 no matter what. Right now it has the large primer system on it, since I do all my case prep work for rifles on my T-7 and most of the time do my precision rifle loads on it to.
  16. I have both a 550 and a SQB. Use the SQB for 9mm only and the 550 and my T-7 for rifle (223/308/6.8) and 45 ACP Thinking of going to a 650 with case feeder for 9mm and a once a year run of say 2k rds of 45 ACP. Any real problems with a 650?
  17. I strip a new gun, clean it and oil it real good. Then shoot it like no tomorrow.
  18. Just unscrew it enough to wick in some blue Loctite. Loctite the screw for the bolt release and mid bead. I didn't need to Loctite anything on mine because all of yours they forgot to put Loctite on they put on mine.
  19. I have a SLR on my Nordic. Tight doesn't leak easy to adjust when needed and with the detents doesn't move when you don't want it to.
  20. Redding T-7 here. Had it 6 years, have one turret set up with different sizing dies, the other turret has crimp and seating dies. Take maybe a minute or two to change over different calibers
  21. Some of the classifiers are ok, I prefer them with at least 2 if not all 3 guns. Best matches to me are natural terrain, not just bays and being able to have some creativity in how I'm going to shoot them.
  22. What model number ALS are you using for your Edge. Looking for one for my Eagle I'm not, note that I use an ALS for my M&P, but I like the holster, here is their model chart http://www.safariland.com/DutyGear/product.aspx?pid=6378 It sounds to me like you might want 6378-56-411 Thanks, I'll swing by G-T and look today, they have a pretty good selection of Safariland.
  23. What model number ALS are you using for your Edge. Looking for one for my Eagle
