  1. I put my A.R.M.S. rings on it, now just to get time to go to the range.
  2. I have 3 LT104 mounts, no problem on either of the other two rifles they are one. One is my 3 gun rifle that has a bunch of rounds though it and the mount has had 5 different scopes mounted in it. I do have some A.R.M.S. mounts that came with the Leupold I think I will try.
  3. I have a Armalite SASS, I mounted a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10 with M3 turrets on it. It's mount with a Larue SPR-1.5 LT104 mount. I've asked both Larue and Armalite if the put any cant in there rifle upper and mount. Both said they don't. Problem is when zeroing the rifle to a 25-300 zero, or even a 50-200 yard zero the scope runs out of down travel to get the crosshairs on the target. With the elevation at the maximum down with the cross hairs on the target the bullet impacts about 6" high at 50 yds. this is from a bench. The scope is just about perfectly centered on windage, maybe a difference of 2 clicks difference from left to right off zero. Anyone have any ideas why the rifle shoots high? I think it should be zero off the down stop on elevation, so you raise your elevation as you shoot out further.
  4. They are shooting the R.O match today. It's been maybe 32-33 with 10-15 MPH winds so it feels cold. Tomorrow is supposed to be a bit warmer. And I got a e mail yesterday before my e mail went down that the shooters meeting was moved up to 10 AM. Just be careful driving up 1431, watch for black ice on the road.
  5. I had a friend in Sacramento that had small reloading business, had like 6 1050's and a couple 650's. He did the normal popular rounds plus about 5 odd ball rounds. One day he was loading one of his 1050's with primers, the last primer didn't drop in fully. So like we all do he aligned it with his finger. He thinks he had built up a static charge because just as his finger neared the primer he heard a large explosion. The entire primer tube went off blowing off the most of his index finger and right thumb. A anvil from a primer went into his eye which after a month of trying to save he lost and had a glass eye. He still ran his business years after the accident but always wore safety glasses whenever around the shop and was careful to ground himself. I'm glad the OP was lucky and didn't get hurt, just scared himself. Maybe it's the reloading gods way of telling us all to be careful and think before we start reloading.
  6. Liberty makes great safes. Get the changeable electronic locks over a dial.
  7. Sierra/Nosler 77 gr are the biggest to fit in a mag. The 80 gr bullets are too long
  8. Shoot my Beretta at it's first match Saturday. When I first got it went right from the GS to the range and ran some B&P slugs through it to get point of aim at 50yds was dead on. I added a +5 Nordic Tube and lubed it up. I also ran some Winchester AA and Federal slugs through it, ran like a dream. At the match the Winchester AA ran perfectly but had to cycle the bolt by hand with the B&P slug. Anyone else run into this? Neither slugs were low recoil.
  9. Anyone else have bad customer service from Briley? Last week ordered some chokes for my Beretta from the them on the phone on 10/30. Asked for Opimta HP's received them on 11/2 and was sent something else not even close. Called Briley Monday morning and asked for a manager and was treated pretty rude. Briley was sending out the correct choke and should receive it on 11/6, never got here and no e mail or call, or UPS tracking number sent. Bad part is I live only a 3 hour drive from Briley, so figured should have the chokes next day. I guess Brileys is no Brownells or Midway at customer service.
  10. I don't see the flat bottom handguard on their website. Is it in-store purchase only? It's on the website, Seekins Precision SP3R Mod Rail system 15". Look under AR15's, rail systems It's $223.25
  11. It seems like after Stag came out with their 3 gun rifle, everyone jumped on the bandwagon. Was just a matter of time till all the manufacturers put the latest cool forearm on one of the rifles and call it there '3 gun rifle'
  12. I just picked up a Seekins 15" rail at DSGarms in Ft. Worth today> shouls have a few more in stock, and the price was good. It's a real sweet forearm
  13. I found quite a few 21" guns, but found at the LGS a elusive 24" and it was $6 more than the 21"
  14. That is a concern I had so I just dehorned the fangs with a file and I broke the edges anywhere my fingers touch. It worked for me, mostly. I did have a minor thumb jamb at recent match but no blood or skin removal. I don't know what a stock lifter costs but I suppose you could replace the welded up one if need be. Look at the lifter on the Beretta 1301, has a forked lifter but much smaller the the rest of the shotgun. From the factory it is tuned to work out of the gate.
  15. Armalite makes a good product. I have couple of their AR10's and they are sweet guns. If I was in the market I would look at theirs for a good base gun to tweak to what I want. However I prefer building my own if not I'd buy a JP.
  16. For hotels there are a bunch in Cedar Park at 183A and 1431. 183 takes you right up to Liberty Hill then make a left on 29 to the range. Takes about 20-25 minutes to get to BOTW. 183A is a toll road, but there are free frontage roads just stay on them. It is never crowded driving up there. Watch out driving through Liberty Hill, big time speed trap.
  17. What did you do to yours beside mag tube and chokes?
  18. I scored a 24" 1301 today never even made it home went right to the range. At 50 yards just about dead on with slugs, runs Winchester AA like no tomorrow. Very light, easy to point, love the light recoil. Now to order a +5 tube for it.
  19. Other than barrel length is there any difference between the 21" and 24" 1301?
  20. Low and to the left = pulling the trigger my friend. Specially at Mozabic drill speed. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2 That is what I thought at first, but the second and third time I slowed down looking at fundamentals. Still did it.
  21. I wish I would have bought a 24'' Benelli field gun and sent it for some R&R with Benny down on the coast. Right now thinking of either doing that or getting a Beretta 1301
  22. Those things do kinda suck don't they. Are they worth anything used like on gunbroker? I sold my old barrel for $100 on ARFcom.
  23. I have a Dawson .160 X .100 front sight on my 9mm Pro. I had it dialed in that at 10 yard I had to shoot maybe 2" high to hit right in the center of either an IDPA head or in the 0. Last week went out to practice and ran 3 Mozambic drills. All the shots were low 5" and left 4" in a nice tight group of 6 shots and 3 shots. All I had done between the practices was field stripped the gun and cleaned/lubed it. Any ideas what happened?
  24. I have a 26'' barrel on my FN SLP, it is a ribbed barrel 10 times better than the barrel that comes on the SLP. I have a +1 cap on the 8 rd mag.
