  1. It is still during the match. If you were in the middle of the pack no one may notice, but say if you were maybe second or two ahead of two other shooters in your squad or someone getting wind of you changing configuration for an advantage. You would probably hear from the match director with appropriate points added to your score or even a DQ.
  2. I'm sticking with Titegroup, especially since I have an 8 lb jug here. I think I will start with 3.2 and see what happens. Thanks
  3. Have around 5000 rounds of Rainer 147 gr flat nose. Also have 8 lbs of Titegroup which I had good luck with in 200 gr 45 and 115 gr 9mm. Anyone have a good recipe for 147 gr? Will be using either Winchester and Wolf primers.
  4. I used CLP on it, was not really dirty or covered in grease. The idea of dry grease is a good idea next time.
  5. Hardest part was finding the 2 screws for the butt pad. The rest of the job was real easy. I will see how it runs now, if not will replace with the Browning spring and heavy piston. Thanks for the help.
  6. I need to change the action spring in my SLP. I have it completely field stripped, but can not see how to get the spring out of the stock. Thanks The Donald
  7. I find a vent rib with a fiber optic front the fastest. If you do a lot of slugs over 30 yards away have a quick flip up rifle sight dovetailed in to the back of the vent rib.
  8. One of my pins is starting to walk out, goes about a 1/4 of the way out in 10 rounds.
  9. I have a SLP, first time using B&P slugs ran great, every shot a hit. Second match with them shotgun would not cycle fully. Anyone run into this?
  10. Thanks, your pictures are just what I needed. I've spent years porting cylinder heads with an assortment of die grinders, just needed to see where to make the cuts.
  11. My SLP does the same thing, runs fine from the magazine but bolt does not want to close all the time when you throw one in the chamber. My SLP is stock except for a C-Rums lifter and a trigger job. I think it is the tip of the lifter causing the issue.
  12. A good friend of mine 'Ammodump John' in Sacramento had a primer tube blow up. Was on a Dillon 1050, John is a commercial reloader(he has 4 1050's, 2 650's and one 550). The last primer in the tube got caught sticking to the top of the primer feed tube. Like all of us have done so many times he touched it with his finger to align the primer to drop. However a static charge set off the primer and rest of them in the primer feed tube coming straight up. Injured John's right index finger and thumb. But worst of all an anvil went in his eye causing him to loose it, current John has an artificial eyeball. I will NEVER reload again without safety glasses on, I hope you all do the same.
