I've got to have on of the narrower front sights...... I get a quicker sight picture when I can see around the front sight and line it up. This is why I hate the trijicon night-sights on all of my Glocks......

Not that I am anybody......but I use one. I have in mounted in a LaRue SPR-E on my JP upper with 18" ultralight barrel. Sweet set up. It rides mounted to the trunk-lid of my patrol car 99% of the time, and plays at matches the other 1%.

Why do you keep blaming this whole incident of the "young & experienced" officer ??? You have admitted that you were breaking the law and you got caught. If you were so aware that the area is a "speed trap", why were you speeding through there to begin with...because everyone else was doing it ???? Peer pressure will get you every time !!!!! I don't know the area you live in....and I certainly don't know the officer who stopped you...but I can assure you he wasn't scared while writing you a speeding ticket. All this being said....Can you guess what I do for a living and have to listen to everyday ?????

FWIW, Taran is not as "big & sloppy" in person as you may suggest. You know what they say about cameras adding lbs. to your figure !!!! On the other hand.....I bet he has a hard time finding a hat to fit !!!!!!

We went to Cancun for our honeymoon 10 years ago and stayed at The Moon Palace....one of several Palace resorts there. Moon Palace was brand new a the time, aimed at adult entertainment so not a lot of kiddies running around at the pool and what have you. It is also off the beaten path....about a 15 minute ride from the strip. With an all inclusinve package, you can also go in to town and have access to the amenities at the other Palace resorts.....very nice. One of my favorite memories was the tequila volley ball in the pool. Who ever let the ball hit the water had to take a big shot of tequila !!!!!

Folks have been talking for weeks about the new Front Sight articles and the rifle comp comparison......but I've still not got mine. Are they sent out by region or zip code, or all at once.....anyone know ?????

My eyesight isn't what it used to be be and that narrow front is hard to pick up. Plus, again being an old bullseye shooter there just seems to be too much light between the front sight and the rear sight. I'm even thinking about changing out the NM front sight on my M1A to a standard width just so that I can see it better. I've got exactly what you need.......If you're looking for a big-honkin' front sighted pistol, I'll trade you my Glock 35 and even let you pay shipping on both pistols......

Some of you should consider that camo is in style with the younger crowd......I've got at least 3 pair of camo shorts that were bought at GAP or American Eagle, or some similar store. I totally agree with preserving our image as a sport and I would never personally wear camo to a match....but don't get it in you head that all folks that show up at a match in camo clothing are militants from up in the hills. Someone from the club catch the offending party at the safe area and explain that we don't feel that camo clothing is appropriate for our setting, and point out what everyone else chooses to wear instead. If this person is brand-new to the sport, they may have no idea what to wear or what is expected at a match.

My Dawson-tuned EDGE has never shot anything but Remington factory ammo.......Not an issue here.
