  1. I would check out Adam Weber's website for one. If it's slide mounted, chances are he makes one for it. http://www.webertactical.com/
  2. Call Jeff Abernathy of Tommy Guns USA. He is in the Charlotte, NC area and will build you one. He has built a couple of opens for me. He has also done a trigger job on almost every 1911 I own, his trigger jobs are amazing. I'm sure his wait time is also one of the shortest around.
  3. I have a friend that runs one in 3 gun. I have shot his and it looks and shoots great. The fit and finish is great. He usually on shoots major in it, makes quick work of the spinners.
  4. If you are unsure, load em up and use them for practice. They will either go bang or not.
  5. Thats what I thought too. Where he points to the differences is actually out of camera frame! I am giving them a call tomorrow anyway.
  6. I looked on the website and click the link in faq's and it took me to a video about their rifles.

Would you still be interested in it if I ship it for 75?

  8. The last 3 majors I shot last year-Pro-Am, Memorial and Fort Benning all could stage gear. A lot of it depends on the MD I guess. Those three were run under 2 different rule sets.
  9. Are there any differences in MBX gen 1 or gen 2 springs and followers? I see the difference in the baseplates.
  10. Take a look at Cole-Tac. Their backbone will will work with all their bags. Once you start using bags, you will never want to shoot without one. Also, for the tripod, look at two vets. The have one of the best I've seen. Most outlaw 3 gun matches let you stage equipment so running to set up on a tripod or series of bags are great help.
  11. I use a five gallon bucket. Load in the winter, fill the bucket and grab a coffee can full for match! But I'm cheap.
  12. Thanks folks. They have been out of stock for a while and someone close to them said they might not produce anymore.
  13. It seems that EGW quit making there 12 ga chamber checkers. Anybody have a lead on where to find one?
  14. I have used AA7 for 38 super for as long as I have been reloading. It fills up the case and produces lots of gas so the big comp and popple holes are happy. I have found some SW Major Pistol for a fall back in case I run out of AA7. Anybody have info on using MP for 38 super. I have a few folks I shoot with that use a ton of it for 9 major but don't know any shooters that use it for 38? What say the BE crowd? tia
  15. Buy a box fed gun and go have a great time. Quad loading is great but defeats the purpose of competing in open.
  16. It going to be hard to find one that fits correctly without it being a one off. From what little I know about my two open holsters is that it needs to be made from a "vacuum" mold instead of a "press" mold. I think this is due to all the corners on and around the frame/mount. If you do find someone to make it, expect to pay about 250 for a one off product.
  17. Winter Motherland AK match - December 18th - Clinton, SC 2022 will have, I think 3 AK matches at Clinton House. Check practiscore for dates. Also, they are hosting the USPSA multi gun nationals. I think there are a total of 4 major matches next year here.
  18. Here is my 9mm shorty built specifically for 3 gun.
  19. Look up Jeff Abernathy of Tommy Guns USA. He has done several for me and all are great but most importantly, they are run.
  20. Brazos 38 super full size PD 124 CCI small pistol AA7 9.8 168 pf+/-
  21. I would first take a look at the type of 3 gun matches you shoot or are in your area. If you are going to shoot mostly local bay type matches, you may want a shorter/lighter rifle than one you use for open terrain long range style matches. If you are going to shoot both, you may want one that compliments both style of matches. For bays 14.5" or 16" rifle with red dot vs. 16" or 18" with a LPVO. Whatever you go with spend the money where it counts: trigger, recoil system (adjustable gas, SCS, rifle length gas, etc.) Remember, you don't have to break the bank with high end name brand rifles. The upper and lower are only containers to put the good stuff inside of. Probably 99.9% of all rifle uppers/lowers are just fine right of the shelf. Also, you will be throwing this thing in muddy dump buckets, hitting tables, going prone in dirt, etc. It will will get beat up.
  22. Another vote for Holosun. I have it on my Vepr and it is great. Sold my last Vortex dot when it came back from warranty repair.
  23. Me three. I'm getting low on AA7 for 38 S and also 9 major. I have seen good things out of Major Pistol for 9 too.
  24. As you can see the general consensus is ELS. I have started with a off brand belt years ago and after the 1st year changed to Safariland/ELS. Its like lego's, too many options to list out. Also, since the majority of other 3-gun shooters use the same, its easy to borrow gear/attachments if your goes down or breaks. Enjoy open divsion, 3 times the fun and 3 times the cost!
