  1. Got mine on Wednesday & installed it last night. Loaded 1000 rds. today without any case problems. Looks to be a really good fix. Tony
  2. Carlson Choke Tubes are very reasonable.
  3. PM sent for one. I also have the same issues with .223, nice fix!!!
  4. True, so True!!! I changed gas rings in my & it started working again, then stopped after about 500 rds again. Now it sits in my drawer.
  5. LEE FCD works like a champ & I have gotten my group size smaller since using one for the past 8 years.
  6. Oh how I miss those fun days at Second Chance. This is where I got started in competitive handgun shooting. These were some major major loads, 255 keith bullets going 950.
  7. I shoot 2 loads only when shooting at LaRues past 300 & on really windy days. 55 gr. Sierra Blitz Kings at 3100 fps & Sierra 77 gr. for longer shots. The LaRues past 300 will go down easier with a lower hit than a 55, have had it happen to many times with 55's, so now its 77's & no more questions. Tony
  8. If all it takes is one pellet out of an open choke to take down a steel plate, then there's no reason not to fire nothing BUT buckshot at things that aren't clays. Bingo!!!!!
  9. Rudy Etchen said... “You should shoot the shortest stock you can shoot without getting your nose kicked, because the farther you are away from the gun, the more you have to steer it. The longer the gun is, the harder it is to point. If you're tied in close, not getting your nose kicked by the thumb on your trigger hand, the better you'll shoot. I like this concept & hate a stock that is to long.
  10. Well just found out over the last couple of days I'm out & can't attend the match as planned. Work has cancelled all vacation time in our department for the month due to so many people on sick leave & staff shortage. Good luck to all!! Tony
  11. One other thing you might want to add is a small low profile XS rear sight for slugs. It's milled into the rib & helps out alot especially on these stages designs with long slug shots. Tony
  12. I was thinking of grinding a slight radius on the top of the carrier to help guide the shell into the center of the chamber but wanted to see what you all think. Yes this is what you need to do. I know this is what we have done to remedy the same problem. Tony
  13. Boardwalk Empire (HBO) Sapranos Sons of Anarchy Band of Brothers Nip Tuck
  14. Get the QLS for your holster. Its rated for up to around 600lbs of force. The ELS clips are actually not for holsters, but for accessories & are rated at around 200lbs. Ask me how I know!!!! QLS with Blade-Tech DOH holsters match up with 2 holes just fine. Tony
  15. Brian shot Second Chance a time or two, as did many of the older guys here. Older Guys!! I resemble that. I shot Second Chance from 83-93, then again in 98 when the last one was held. What fun that match was. 10 day party with lots of shooting.
  16. Ken & Irene live in Oklahoma & have for some time. Last time I talked to him he said he had shot eveything on the property including all the grasshoppers. Tony
  17. I know everyone has access to the rules but maybe at the next match you could take a few minutes to go over a couple key items you think would be needed. I know that shoot thru's count as in hitting a no shoot will still count if you hit the intended target. I think some folks think hitting the no shoot means any pass thru shots on the target dont count. There should never be a stage that has the possiblities of shoot thru's. All targets should be located so this becomes a non issue. No-shoots, covering a shoot target are one thing to make for a smaller shooting area, but shoot targets in front of a no-shoot is stage that needs tuning.
  18. Sorry Chuck, can't make it. Vacation time already spoken for for other matches. Tony
  19. Chuck, Being on the board have you heard anything about what rules will be used at the MG Nat. for open shotgun. I understand there is talk of changing it back to open as it should be. I'm sure others would like to know as well. Thanks, Tony
  20. Looks like you have everything you need. Slap it together, sight it in & see how it runs. CRums lifter not needed for open, maybe open the port slightly enough to take off any sharp edges. Tony
  21. Shorts? Check out Jerry's pants! Those things are TIGHT..even for 1992! Bet he could strike a match on them bad boys What is up with Todd's glasses? WHOA! I think those glasses were called (Frogs) by Oakley
  22. I added a second spacer to mine & solved that problem. This has kept them from moving & falling out.
  23. Kurt, I've noticed the same thing for all those years when I shot 50 gr. bullets. Now I moved up to 55 gr. for the wind. Just kidding around some guys. 55's will work fine just know your dope, 77's do hit hard though.
