Finally read the FAQs

Finally read the FAQs (3/11)

  1. Memphis, what mag pouch are you running?
  2. I would strongly suggest looking into multifocal lens implants. Alcon is the maker. Both I and my wife had then done 8 years ago. The results have been fantastic. We now have perfect vision at any distance. We were 66 at the time and both needed cataract surgery. since these are implants , there is never any degradation with age.
  3. Unfortunately, it looks like they will just be airing reruns. I saw no mention of new episodes. Sad
  4. Check for a broken roll pin. pretty common problem with the easy loader.
  5. Josh at T&N was kind enough to send a replacement which I was able to tap on successfully. I painted mine with Rust-oleum multi color textured paint p/n 223525 aged iron. It gives a firm non slip finish without being too aggressive. I mounted my homemade match saver on the radius of the forend, perfectly in line with the ejection port. Works great.
  6. botach has a 3 pack for $90 with a free pair of shooting glasses
  7. It split at the rear end as I attempted to tap it over the barrel ring.
  8. I tried to tap mine on today and the damn thing cracked, a split about 2" long. My barrel ring measures 1.250 " and the hole in the forend is WAY smaller. I contacted T&N for a return authorization.
  9. How would you describe condition? box, papers and shipping included?

    thanks,

    Jim

  10. Thanks for the heads up, jhgtyre!
  11. was really glad to see Richard Davis's pin shoot on again. Unfortunately, I didn't hear about it till to late to go. Does anyone have links to results, videos or participation? I've searched you tube and face book and come up dry.
  12. You might want to look at the new Remington V 3 when it comes out. Same gas system as the Versa but 3" chamber and about 1# lighter. Recoil springs are in the action, so no worries about cutting the stock.
  13. With all due respect, what does "Performance Center" mean if it's not about performance? I had four stock 625's that took a LOT less work to get to run right than did the PC 627 38 super I had. S&W is charging extra for the PC stuff, I just wish I could see what the extra gets you.
  14. Yeah, I had 2 of these. When the first one started short cycling with the gas block fully open, I called J P and told them of the problem. The guy I talked to asked how many rounds thru it? I told him max 3 K and he told me that's all I could expect out of them!! Looking at the last one now, which I know has less than 2 K thru it before it died ,and the black coating is gone for about 1/4 " on the upper receiver contact points at the forward end under the key. These always were run WET. Running the SS lo mass now. Would try the new one but would like to know the expected round count life if properly lubed.
  15. Just got and returned one. I could not get a clear focus and the brownish tint was very distracting, it was like looking through a pair of glasses with one clear and one tinted lens. I really wanted to like this scope but compared to my Burris tac 30's (3) it didn't cut it.
