  1. Me too! every time we shoot. Let the one shooters come, a 5 second penalty for what you thought was an A now cost you verus .15 for the extra shot.
  2. Spot on. My guess would be the same, as many of the others bowed out on their own.
  3. Well, at least you can blame it on the gun. I can only blame myself. BTW, I shot my 627 8 shot revolver on the plates yesterday in practice with the red dot scope on it. Damn, that is just cheating. It is so easy to hit those plates with a dot even with a long heavy revolver trigger. Now I hate my iron sights even more. Chris Famous last words of many who have missed plates at the cup Just concentrate on each shot & press the trigger. As my Father has told me on several occasions (don't just wish one down range cause you can't bring it back).
  4. Depends if you want to practice during the week out at the practice range. I normally take around 6000 rounds for practice & match ammo & will shoot a lot of it during the week. If you don't practice I would still take at least 3 or 4 times want you need in case of the unknown factors & for the side events. Tony
  5. Best thing I have bought in a long time. Just finished loading ammo for Bianchi, 6000 rounds in just a few hours of loading.
  6. I set up my JP triggers at 2.25#. I have found out anything lighter & it will start to double.
  7. I have used 15# springs for several years now in many different guns with no problems. Winchester primers!!!
  8. I was thinking the same thing... the website hasn't been updates since last August. It would appear that there isn't going to be one. Would LEAR or someone official confirm that it is canceled, so we can stop holding our breath and get on to other things?? My understanding from talking with Lea yesterday the match is still a go.
  9. Duke better not over look them, cause here they come, full of confidence & playing together again. Bench has started to look for shots & making plays.
  10. Vickie I am so sorry for your loss. RIP Eddie, this is hard to believe!!!!
  11. Jack, Thanks for taking the time to make a great post! :cheers Great response Jack, totally agree.
  12. Try pushing the shoulder back a little bit more. Do the rounds extract normal before firing or does it only happen after a fired round? If they don't extract easily before firing it is in the sizing of your case with this chamber. DPMS chamber could be tighter chamber than your other guns. Had this problem once before & it was the difference in chamber size. Match chamber of .223 vs. 5.56 chamber. Tony
  13. Usually I think there have been many good efforts to help make action pistol better, but to bad only top 3 in each division for the shoot off. Sure will take some of the exciting drama on who makes it to the final 4 from the top 16 (open). This is were most of the spectators come to see the speed demons let loose. Really To Bad This Changed!!! Making the top 16 use to mean something for some since there is really no room for error in this match. Top 3 are not always the fastest, but maybe most accurate. This isn't always the case but very well could be on any given year. Should the NCAA just have a final four & no others in the field ? Just my 2 cents. Tony
  14. Sorry for your loss. I shot with Walter when I first starting shooting back in 1982. Walter & Velma were two of the most friendly people to ever be around. Walter had the most powerful grip of anyone I ever shook hands with. I shot many matches with him over the years & he will be missed. Tony
  15. The whole Rock N Roll Jesus CD is great. Only liked a few of his songs before this CD came out.
  16. Oh, they have checked at Ft. Benning before. Someone got bumped to open because it held more tyhan 9. Tube can be plugged to hold only 8 when needed.
  17. Same thing happened at Superstition Mystery Mountain 3gun a couple years back. Moderate wind tossed the 55grs all over the place. I switched to 69gr and havent had a problem since. I shot 52 gr. amax, had no problems, but did'nt have the wind issues you all had on your reshoot.
  18. I can't remember ever shooting a stage that was'nt challenging or fun. Don't think (well maybe) the scoring would fly in todays matches. Each stage had it's own discription on how it would be scored & you had to figure out how to approach it for score. Most of them were easy to figure out Everone was given a stage disription for every stage. Major & minor was scored for rifle & pistol, & shotgun was buckshot only & a very few slugs, with all steel knock down targets. Rifle & pistol would be steel or paper. No walk throughs, everybody shot in the same order on each stage, if you were first, you were first each time. Call your name to the line, LAMR, Stand BY & off you went. Most stages could'nt even see what was going on while match was being shot. No looking over stages prior to match or match DQ. RO's would not let you go past a target, They would direct you in the direction to look & shoot. Very accuracy oriented match. Penalties were severe, no shoots were 20 seconds. Sure miss that match, I sure others can add more to this. I shot it from 97-03 Tony
  19. I do remember some video at RM3G that was very good in detail & you might be right.
  20. To sum it up: USPSA's elected officials decide what shooters want in a match, and then they get 130-ish of them show up for NATIONALS. RM3G/Ironman/BR3G/SMM3G/Larue listens to what shooters want and act accordingly and they fill up. Ironically, I'm seeing a parallel between USPSA and our own current government in your statement... WOW, good analogy Ken, does kind of sum it up unfortunately. 135 shooters at a Nationals, that had months of sign up available, moved back out west where there was suppose to be more participation, good stages, good people running it, economy in the tank but all other matches filling up. Yet 72 competitors show up for the Ark. STATE multi-gun, 93 competitors show up at Area 6 multi gun.(Great Match put on by both of them), Area 8 cancelled their USPSA multi gun match & ran just a non USPSA match, due to stages being not approved by USPSA. Just an observation but it appears USPSA Multi Gun Nationals needs to look & ask at what these match directors are doing to attract a good number of shooters to State, Area & non USPSA matches.
  21. Yep, been ask to many times to even care anymore. Still no good reason why.
  22. every match except a uspsa match-in uspsa, we run limited 10 in open! go figure! Silly rule, we don't limit pistol or rifle to 10 in open?
  23. Wow! Still confused. Are we going to use the rules as written or adjust them to each stage. Sounds like the stage should have been thrown out instead of 2 1/2 squads reshooting it, even though it was a good stage to shoot.
