Looked that way, i didn't swap it out but aside from the ejector looked like it would be no problem.

I know others like the Safariland case but I am on my second one and there won't be a third. First one I got fell apart after 8 months of use. They made it right and sent a replacement under warranty. I have been using this one for a year and a half or so and this one is no falling apart. Zippers are ripping, straps ripping our, D rings for straps ripping off, just not holding up. I know I put a lot of stuff in there, a 3 guns plus mags etc but its advertised as a 3 gun bag so I put my 3 gun gear in there. I am over the 1 year so I was advised it's no longer under warranty. I am going to give the Brownells bag a try. A shooter I know loves his and has had for a few years and it looks great. If the Safariland case was built better I would be all over it, I really like the design and features I just wish it held up. In it's defense I am really hard on stuff it seems :-). If I start to fly or travel Patriot is who will get my business, not only to they make great stuff but they support the sport, matches and cater to what shooters want and need in a product.

Truth be told it doesn't matter where the port is in relation to the rifling. I have bore scoped so many barrels and seen them all over the place, we do accuracy checks and all were under MOA shooting guns. I have seen this on many different manufacturers of guns/barrels that come in the shop including the "top tier" brands.

Normal. It is made this way so it stays in place. If there were two springs the sight would bounce back and forth from the recoil. The one spring holds tension, simple but effective design.

I really thought this was a joke at first. Looks like a paint ball item to me, no obvious use on a real rifle. Seems like easier to have a ND as you have two fingers to keep off of the trigger.

Mark's advise, as always is spot on. Just to add my experience, I have seen the little items wear or break. I 100% agree to have bolt parts, a full bolt is even better but if you cant afford/find one, gas rings, extractor, extractor springs and inserts, etc. I also carry a firing pin, as well as extra retaining pins as it sucks if you loose one. Some lower parts springs, hammer, trigger, disconnector is great also as I have seen hammer springs break. I also carry some piston parts, springs, just in case I need them or I may have the opprutinity to help someone shooting our platform. I also carry shotgun and pistol parts in the bag, I am propably carrying more then I need to but I am boy scout at heart, be prepared. Sucks to travel all the way to a match and have a $10 part fail you. I still carry extra carriers, more for product support, help, and peace of mind. If you use or have parts/guns with propritary parts good idea to keep a backup. For example, if you use the JP silent spring system, it might not be a spring someone would have in their bag if one broke, so a standard spring and buffer would be a fast fix. Also think about if you clean your gear what items may get or are commonly lost. Looking for small parts on hotel floors is risky, for a variety of reasons

Hi Guys, I sent an email via the webpage before I saw how active PS was here. Sometimes at our local range we use bullseye type scoring for fixed time events, ie where targets flash at fixed times and various ranges. Then the final targets are scored bullseye style, ie 93 -4x. Is there a way that I am missing or that folks have used PS to score bullseye type events? I love the squadding and sorting features, makes it alot easier then spreadsheets. It would be awesome to program how many stages, then what the max score could be, sometimes for us it might be 400, then also be able to do percentage and points like in time plus 3 gun type scoring. Lol couldnt have said it better. I was praying for a TR25 1-6, only to have been disappointed for the last two shot shows where it was going to be the next big thing.

The way I understand it and have seen it handles is if a shooter has a VFG, say in Tac Ops they can use it as a grip when shooing. All good. However if or when he uses it as a support device on a barricade that would then bump him to open since open is the only class where support devices are allowed. We have seen a lot of new shooters with tac type rifles come to 3 gun for the first time. Education is a big part but as the sport grows we will see more of this. They get hooked and realized tactical isn't always the best for 3 gun.

To add, I think the biggest shot they allowed was 6 in lead, no steel. I plan on bringing a lot of rifle because come hell or high water I am hitting that far rifle steel this year :-). Looking forward to the match!

If I missed it I apologize as I'm on my phone but what is your goal? Do something different, softer felt recoil, cycling etc. One has to not only look at pressure of the has but also the dwell time. While not many would argue the pressure is high with carbine length, the dwell time is near perfect. It's a very reliable system. You certainly can proceed with the process but with that short of a dwell time you'd have to make that gas port huge. A big company use to make 16" disapators, 16 barrel with rifle length gas system and they had tons of issues. With a 14.5 itd be even worse. If your looking to soften felt recoil look at buffer and springs, comps etc. you might also really like the JP silent spring system.
