  1. The SO did make the right call, as a MD you should know that
  2. in my 5" tanfoglio, 3.1 gr n320 barely makes PF (126) so i use 3.3 gr and get a consistent 135 PF
  3. Doesn't a 550 seat primers on the forward stroke, after the down stroke ?
  4. Don't forget to polish the inside of the plunger. The shaft is very rough , but so is the plunger hole.
  5. My fastest time with no concealment is a 1.47, with several in the mid 1.5 range. I consider these one off pretty lucky runs just for fun. I consider 1.8 my standard reproducible time, the way I shoot it in the classifier. I tell guys to go for a 2 second goal generally. The best way to practice it for me is to put a 3x5 card in the head box and draw to two shots to it. This forces you to aim since hitting the 3x5 card is significantly more difficult than just the brown head box, once you can do this consistently, the Mozambique is easy.
  6. I have a super 1050 with the PW auto drive and I have noticed that when at full extension ( bottom of downstroke) I can see movement of the press indicating to me at least that I might be over driving the press. I felt that I had it adjusted correctly but I want to know if their are any guidelines on setting the stroke adjustment with this setup. Thanks
  7. I agree with gump, I much prefer the 3 to the 2 I have. The 3 is at least as accurate as the lim pro or 2. I do like the chrome finish on the s2 however.
  8. 2 dollar tennis racket grip wrap. I have two pros that fit with significant room and 2 that only have 1/2 inch or so to spare. The beavertails vary significantly on these guns.
  9. That picture is with the larger stoeger base pads and it still fits
  10. I have never seen one that did not fit in the box
  11. "A cone is a three-dimensional geometric shape that tapers smoothly from a flat base (frequently, though not necessarily, circular) to a point called the apex or vertex." Where do you see that it tapes smoothly? Consider the fact that it tapes smoothly then breaks abruptly in a 45 degrees angle. I do not think it is a cone barrel. fatter at the muzzel, skinnier further back
  12. There is little doubt about its legality. It is a cone barrel and longer than allowed, so it is not legal. Having said that, you can still enjoy shooting it, but knowing it is not legal and trying to sneak by is probably not the way to go.
  13. The problem is I don't really want my SA to be any lighter. I don't know what I can do to only lighten DA Reduced power trigger spring , hammer spring, plunger spring. Polish everything. Reduced power sear spring may make SA lighter also
  14. maybe they were Henning. they come in a pack of 3 spring weights
  15. I went with the henning FP, EG light hammer spring, EG hammer, EG light plunger spring and fp block spring, henning guide rod and lighter recoil spring, dawson 180 front ,Lpa fiber optic rear, and light sear spring and I piece sear, polished everything and ended up with the best tanfo trigger of any of my gunsmith done tanfos. The one thing I am going to change is to go back to the regular sear spring. My SA is just too light and I may have had one sear bounce AD into the berm(it might have been me). I used the lightest plunger spring in the EG set and mine works well but I hear some guns have issues with reset after a while.
  16. All measured with digital calipers crown to breech face
  17. I agree, one of my PROs has the new EG trigger and it is set quite a bit more forward than the original trigger. It feels ok and I could certainly get used to it, but if I did it again I would keep the stock trigger in
  18. I can only assume the chrome has more weight. Also small discrepancies in the forging/castings occur I suppose. The beavertails on all these guns are different. The lim pros are longer and the stock 3s are fatter and shorter. The slide weights include all parts. The frames did not include the slide stop.
  19. Weight comparison All 9mm Lim pro- slide,19.35oz. Frame-19.35. Gun-39.15 Stock 11. Slide 18.55. Frame 20.55. Gun. 39.50. ( this gun has wooden grips, the others have EG aluminum grips .75oz heavier) Stock 111. Slide 19.25. Frame. 22.85. Gun. 42.55 Limited slide-19.30 (note it weighs less than the lim pro non cone Barrel slide)
  20. Spp here with 7.2 gr autocomp and extreme 124 hp. No issues
  21. Flush with the magwell is about right. Very doable mag change. The rubber CZ base pads are a little thicker, so seating is a bit more secure, but the M&P pads work fine.
