DA only. It releases fine from SA . If you pull the trigger about 1/3 back in DA on one of your tanfos it should go to half cock, at least all my other tanfos do. This one does not do that with the slide on, but with it off or the fpb out it does it fine.
It does not do that. If you pull the trigger completely, all goes well. It is only when you just try to engage the half cock by pulling the trigger slightly. However, I removed the fpb and now it goes to half cock like all the other guns. So the fpb must be pushing down somewhat on the sear arm. How to address that is the question.
When you pull the trigger just a short way, my lim pro and stock 2 will go to half cock (maybe they have the issue). This gun usually will not. Oddly enough, when you take off the slide and work the trigger it will go to half cock easily
I changed out my hammer to the EG, as well as the hammer spring(eg light), one piece sear, two wing disco, and light sear spring with excellent results except it does not always go to half cock . Is this a problem? What could be the issue?
Revolver definitely changes things, since reloads tale so long, however, I would have a hard time picking on them in cases such as those presented. I really view the FTDR as a hedge against willful unfair play. I do realize it is impossible to read a persons mind and tell if they are cheating or not.
Where is that? Rule 5.5 specifically states that a FTDR should not be assessed for inadvertent shooter errors, or in cases where it is obvious that the shooter gained no competitive advantage.
I don't doubt that there has been a change, I just need to read it.
I still could not see giving a FTDR in that instance. Assuming he did it intentionally, he gave up 3 seconds for the failure to follow COF and 5 seconds for the missed shot on target, plus the greater possibility of a FTN. Hard to show any intent to gain an unfair advantage there.
They do seem a bit confusing, however, milling a slide is prohibited(except for the mentioned instances ) in all divisions if you go by the letter of the rules. If done by the factory I would assume it is legal.
For sure the correct call. A FTDR does not come in to play here, regardless of the shooters intentions. Not firing the prescribed number of shots at a target does not give him any advantage. PE ,plus the points down on the target for the shot not taken.
Don't think milling the slide is allowed in esp ,except front cocking serrations, tri top, engraving, carry melts and high power cuts.
So a custom target is not allowed in idpa.
It is all myself and my shooting buddies use now. We have found them to be more accurate than the .356 bullets. I can drop the powder load .1 gr and get the same velocity as the 356s
