  1. One of the problems I had with the stock 3 was it not releasing cleanly from the holster unless pulled perfectly vertical every time. It tends to get hung up on the rail. I tried several different holsters with pretty much the same result, when I really pushed it hard I would get a hang up. The lim pro and S2 do not do this.
  2. I prefer the lim pro, it seems to shoot the softest of my other 2 and has the longer sight radius of the 3 but not so nose heavy
  3. Big thanks to Trader for the sight, fit perfect
  4. Got my 2 sears from Eric Saturday . No problem. Dropped them in the guns and they are flawless now. I highly advise anyone needing work done on their tanfoglio to do it yourself , save the gunsmith fee and get a better product.
  5. 130 pf loads. the adjustment screw head torqued off the body
  6. thanks, they are out of stock and will not let me order but i will keep at it.
  7. my elevation screw broke, anyone have one, or a whole sight? thanks
  8. Both my stock 2 and lim pro were built by the same smith and both have hammer follow to half cock position when releasing slide lock and occasionally when shooting rapidly. Of course this is unacceptable. Both Sears appear to have been altered, hopefully the hammer hooks were not altered. Where do you suggest obtaining one piece sears? Don't want to send the guns back, I have learned to do the triggers myself from now on.
  9. A great trigger, a decent comp and a mid or rifle length gas system on any name brand AR will do just fine.
  10. When shooting indoors or a comped firearm, you should always use double protection. The foam plugs actually give very good protection but do not protect the transmission of sound through the mastoid bone, so muffs on top of plugs is advised. Quality muffs like MSR are a good choice. If your ears are ringing , then you have damage. One blast in close proximity to a comped AR will give permanent damage
  11. Here is a 6" .40 Hunter slide on a stock3 frame, fits perfect
  12. I think she has proven over and over that she has very little grasp of what the majority of shooters like.
  13. That is the best question I have heard in response to this possible change
  14. Yes, a hard to find part, but is helpful for some slide lock IDPA reloads
  15. The dimensions of these gun vary a good bit from gun to gun. I have found the beavertail length to be significantly longer on some guns.
  16. I have 3 lim pros and all fit the box fine
  17. People have been trying to make this gun somehow legal for IDPA, it is not ,and weight is not the issue. No cone barrels of this length allowed.
  18. 3.3 gives me 132PF in my tanfoglio and CZ. 3.8 would probably put me close to major PF. I would suggest starting with 3.2 and work up from there. I find that WST uses about the same powder load as N320 for equal PF. Be aware that WST is very inverse temp sensitive however and 320 is not so much.
  19. i would suggest letting your split times and accuracy decide what weight bullet to use. If the gun returns to Zero better with a particular load, that is more important than the feel of the recoil.
  20. My M2 has the original recoil pad and it is sloped at the top end to aid in fast shouldering without catching on the shirt, however, the bottom end is not, and it catches my shirt when throwing on the top of the shoulder for strong had reloads. Is there a way to carve this down or grind away this soft material down and keep it from looking too butchered up? I am more interested in function than cosmetics, but still want it to look good and smooth.
  21. i have 3 lim pros, and all fit the box and all make weight by .5 oz, one has a somewhat shorter beavertail (tanfo casting is not exact). if you want to go ESP, you can add a magwell and go single action if you want. light grips are a must with this configuation to make weight. A smaller safety also helps.
