once i fix this problem with my cz you will see me shooting it a lot more. trying to compete with cody! and yes i have busted them open on tuesday night steal and durning a few weekend matchs trying to remember to go soft when seating the mag. cz is awesome, the mags .... eh

I have the exact same problem with all 6 of my factory cz mags. two things i have found is when loaded with only 10rnds the spring pressure put on the pad to hold it on is simply to weak. load your mags to 19 and you will be able to load ammo in your gun. but shooting production you either have to just get new mecgar mags or seat your mags very very lightly. *don't smash the mags into the gun like you would do with all other magazine. i know this sucks when you spend 1 sec reloading only to have all of the BBs sprung out on the ground. it is hard to get out of this hard loading habit from how you used to force a 20 mag into your limited gun. i tried adding a detent in the back of the pad to help keep the base pad affixed on the mag and still be able to disassemble and clean easily(detent was formed by melting the back of the base pad making a dent or knot). this route had little effect. just have to get the mecgar ones. i know it sucks because no one said the mags were not very good before you bought 6 of them.

quick review of the GDT 45 degree rapid transition buis backup iron for $26 well they looked good, and seem very solid. they function better than i thought they would but the front sight is either not cut right and or just seems to not fit very tight. i unscrewed the tension screw and took it completely apart.. then i aggressively filed the front sight's base making it narrower. put it back together and now the sight fits snug. the adjustment in the rear sight has very positive clicks, and does not look or feel like a cheap knock off. 26$ and 10minutes of modification and a very nice offset sight.

I recently picked up an FSL8 and 2- 4 round pin wheels. i used the els system to get them onto my belt, they fit fairly snug. the FSL seems to be just a touch harder to get used to when loading 2 but for me only about .5 seconds slower than loading 8 from the pin wheels. right now- standing still, i am loading 8 in 5-6 seconds.. it takes a bit of practice to get under 6 seconds. and now it seems very easy and (for me a lot faster than loading from traditional 4 round caddies.) if you plan on going with the load 2 set up. be sure to the file the front of the load port so you dont have to push you thumb into the magazine. very happy with the carbon FSL and the pin wheels. + the pinwheels are nice because with els you can take then off and trade the position on your belt for a pistol or rifle mag to suit the coarse of fire.

flying out friday morning, got my eyes on another buckle!

i have been looking at scopes for awhile online and looking thru the glass in person, the vx 6 is 899 and they have 3 different reticles w/ illumination. i would love to see a review and or see one in person. looking like a pretty good scope and for 900$ might be a steal?

just a heads up the Stag 3g uppers are at least a 6 week wait before they will be able to ship them to you. i have been waiting... this is week 6 for me.

Wow!!! That is amazing. Yeah, someone had a lot of time to paint all the walls with animals and scenery . all the stages were painted up nice. something to make the particle board look good. but we are shooters and painted walls dont have anything to do with how good a stage is.... but the stages were good!!

had a blast at Area 1. the scoring system they had was awesome, you could see your score on within 30min of shooting a stage. very cool that it worked well. the stages were awesome, just a little too fast. but all of the stages with 28++ rounds. with all kinds of no-shoot, hard cover, swingers, drop turners and all kinds of activated targets. easy shoots and and medium shoots (no Hard Shots). table starts, unloaded starts, at side starts, surrender, uprange... what i am trying to say is that it had everything you could want. i vote Ken should get nationals to be held there! in st. george UT. they got more stages than they know what to do with!.

if you really want to get your hands pure black while you reload them on a press or into your mags. the v N320 is still a great clean powder. just one downside of moly bullets moly are really slippery and will likely shoot a couple fps faster

from what i heard today the versamax is basically a benelli m4, benelli's patent expired.

the wide frame looks really good being flush with the slide. if you want your support thumb to rest a bit wider on the frame.. go with the wide frame. if you are looking to cut weight or go a slightly cheaper route get the standard frame. the std frame is basically the same feel of a 1911 when looking at slide and frame together.

I can recommend the STI gunsmith trigger... its super long, but you can file and shape it to your liking.

the CR speed Versa pouch will work with almost anything with the change of a insert. and will fit on a 1.5 belt. its a fairly cheap set up for multiple uses.

Dale i am pretty sure we were just talking about this... i would love to see a uspsa style pistol match going up north. if you do have matches try to have it on a day that rio salado shoots cowboy or revo. and we are all looking to get out of the heat of the valley. shooting up north in the mid 80s in the dead of summer would be awesome, i might even pick up a summer membership! but i can get at least 4 people to go shoot it.. keep us posted.! how far out of town is your range set up? i will even bring my own brown target tape and a clock(timer). 10 bucks says i can get TGO to drive up with me and prob nils. if you think you need some GM involvement.
