  1. i would shoot the easy ones free style and one hand the harder string. go really fast on the tightly packed( small transition). then focus on front sight for the longer spread out targets with 1 hand. .... but thats just me. looks cool though. maybe go so far as to paint lines in the ground like 50, 40, 30 with a team logo on the middle of the 50 yard line.. haha
  2. start anywhere outside of fault lines, is that even a legal start position.? haha
  3. top of the line production gun/best gun to shoot uspsa production with. ?
  4. angus is a plus, but how about the really good shooters that shoot them out here??
  5. you got to spend money to get the weight down. only problem is you will end up spending some extra $$$ for a 6in gun 6in slide is more 6in barrel is more got to cut the fat out
  6. yes i meant the corners. on a mill you have to cut it from the top and then clamp it down and cut it from the side. there is always some danger when taking material of a slide.
  7. try the long reverse plug for so you can use a 5 in aluminium guide rod and a 5in 12.5# recoil spring. take down you have to take the slide off before you take out the bushing to get the the guide rod and spring:P hope that helps. i like to use the 5in al. guide rod to take out some more weight off the front
  8. Personal preferrence, but the longer sight radius is very nice because even if you call a miss it's still a c or d for me. When I shoot my 6in I have to tell myself not to make up shots because the shot I thought I missed is really a C. I dont really think one is faster than the other. But the 6in being heavier make a slower draw and transition but the splits are about the same. The 6in is just very easy to be accurate.
  9. I got both.. Cz spo1 and a slim 6. In major the 6in limited gun shoots flatter than the sp01 in minor. The only reason ppl preffer the sp01 is that its all metal(feel) and heavier than the compitition polymers. I really don't care for my sp01. But if I keep on shooting it I will make gm prodution before I make gm in limited. The first time I ever shot it at a match I felt like I shot horrible but made a 95+% on the classifer.(sp01) Where as I have been shooting the limited six in. Forty for a year and am barely at M.
  10. thanks for all your input. i will be sure to be at one of those
  11. hey i will be in this weekend. and i want to shoot. any uspsa matches in texas 2/11/12 or 2/12/12 thanks for you help. i have looked at so many websites looking for uspsa local club matches sam
  12. try getting your hands dirty using the dirt on the range. gladiator style.
  13. 45 is great, people have been using them forever. but 40 is the new thing. 40 has less felt recoil you can get them to run just as good or better i could go on all day as to why i like my 40 but for me it just shoots better than a 45. plus it shoot a bullet faster than 700 fps *if you are having problems with your 40 try using a 10mm mag they seem to work great
  14. ^plus lightening cuts make awesome cocking serrations. and make your gun look cool
  15. make sure if you lighten your slide... make the cuts rounded and not flat. most gunsmiths now will do this without question, but when they were all learning some did it the easy way and payed the price
