Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. This might speak to your issue with recoil. I bought an FN SLP Mk1 in January for 3gun. Got the C-Rums lifter mod and have been running it hard ever since. My 15 year old son loves it. We'll take it to the range & do 9 round mag dumps for fun. He'll burn through a 100 round walmart box in 5 minutes. The recoil is soft enough that he can put all 9 into the bull at 15 yards. Its a quality piece of gear.
  2. He was selling them for $1485, cheaper than anywhere else i've seen. Had a long waiting list for the next ones in stock. FWIW, I just purchased a Stag 3G upper. "Ammo Bros" in LA actually had a few of the rifles & uppers in stock. Should be here in a week or so...
  3. Yah, I've been to their site several times. At first the prices seem reasonable, but then start to ratchet up once you add exotic items like BCG's & charging handles. I know many folks have their own but geeWiz. The thing that REALLY impressed me about the Colt was the hand fitting & obvious quality control that went into the final product. -Stick
  4. Hey All, New to the forums and looking for info on 3Gun equipment. Ive pretty much got the pistol & shotty sorted out (XDM 5.25 9mm & FNH SLP Mk 1). The rifle is the final piece to my puzzle. I currently own two Spikes AR lowers, one stripped & one complete with Geissele SSA trigger. Been looking at getting a Stag 3G upper, as they are getting great reviews and for about $700, its well within my Wife's budget. Then, last week, I made the mistake of visiting a local custom rifle shop. The owner happened to have two fresh examples of the new Colt CRE-18 "RaceReadyRifle". Of course, both were already sold. This in fact probably saved my life as I would have slammed down $1500 right there and died a very violent death at home a short time later. Needless, I was REALLY impressed with the Colt, tho I havent been able to find much info on them, other than from the Colt web site. Anyone have any info/ experience with the Colt models? Should I just shelve the ego, and save some big green, and go with the Stag? Anyone know when Stag uppers will become available again? Any & all advice is appreciated. -Stick
  5. He has my FN SLP lifter as we speak, I did not know about the "Shoulder" modification tho, it wasnt listed on his site. I'll have to call about that.
  6. Thanks! Yah, my wallet is most definitely thinner, but alot of this stuff is a tax write-off so that helps with the wifey I will look you guys up, tho in my current position (fetal) weekends are hard to come by. -Stick
  7. I'm sorry, did sombody call me?
