  1. I have been looking for a mixer for a while to clean my brass (I have a lot to clean) and came across this Kushlan mixer. http://kushlanproducts.com/450-dd-food-grade-mixer/ I have used their cement mixers and they seem well built. Does anyone here have experience with this mixer? Thoughts? Thanks.
  2. Looking into new Shot Timers for our Club's Steel Challenge program. We have been getting a lot of Rimfire rifles shooters. Some timers will not pick up certain rifles 100% of the time. I have had good results with my own Pact Club III timer and may go that route. Any thoughts or experience on timers that work well with Rimfire rifles? Thanks! Paul
  3. Jamie, My sincerest condolences go out to you and your family.
  4. Agreed... Wish I had a 3.8" STI for the match ;-) Rumor has it the rules may be changing...
  5. I am not much of an IDPA guy as I have only shot a hand full of those types of matches. This was my first BUG (back up gun) match. For an Inaugural match I thought S&W did a really good Job. Giving the fact that every string of fire was only 5 shots (or less) a lot of thought went into stage design. 13 Stages and 180+ rounds. Some targets were Bill Drill style up close which I really liked and many others were a challenge for my stock G26 which I shot for the first time a few days before. Next year I hope to shoot this match again - but with more front sight respect and maybe a different gun.
  6. Another vote for GT Targets! Karl is good people and stands behind his product. Plus you use wood post with his targets. I don't like metal posts...
  7. Thanks to the Sig Sauer Academy for putting on a great Area7 match - it was really well done. Lots of Run and Gunning..
  8. How does it shoot?Thanks
  9. This was the first time I have missed this match since about 2005. Having the Match start mid week and right after the ProAm did not work for me. Hope the schedule next year works for me..
  10. The rain was a little annoying during the Sunday afternoon but another well done ProAm - thanks Phil and crew!
  11. Dave, That's some good advice in post # 375. Keep up the hard work!
  12. Some are done. You will shoot 6 pistol and 6 rifle stages, 5 to 7 plates per stage. Will these be posted prior to the match? Thanks!
  13. Was it for Sunday's side match? I'm out $80 and my dad is out $35I shot Friday and Saturday.
  14. This issue actually came up a local match this past Sunday. I was the RO on the squad (and match MD..) One competitor was having an issue calling his shots and could not see the hits on the plates (22lr). He also could not hear the ding/ring of the plates. I could tell was getting frustrated. He asked if I would call the misses (Btw - Some of our plates are dead - no ring). Normally I don't coach while ROing. But I did with this shooter since it was not a Major Match and I wanted to help him have a positive experience. Good question for a Major match.. I need to read the rules again...
  15. Looks like you need to be logged in to see sale price.
  16. If shooting in the Single Stack Competition Division: APP A: "Single Stack: Will be governed by the criteria in the USPSA handgun rule book. i.e. 1911 models only, no race holsters allowed." Many local matches just have Limited Division which would follow Limited guidlines..
  17. Hmmm, you've got me thinking. I have about 5k 9major loads loaded and only 38sc guns. I may do some testing soon.
  18. Gary, I plan to shoot and help with the match, but if I cannot I too will donate the match fee too. Great idea!
  19. Tim, Here's a link to the USPSA matches in the NE. http://www.uspsa-ne.org/matches.asp?year=2013
  20. World Class Steel in Old Bridge, NJ allows it. At their major "Speed on Steel" match last year I shot 5 guns. http://www.worldclasssteel.com/
