  1. Well because for whatever reason I seem to not depress the carrier well enough or far enough or quickly enough if I'm pushing the timing my quad loads and I end up fumbling with shells. This is of course my issue, not the gun's but coming from an 11-87 with an ez-loader I actually feel like I'm fighting the the carrier more on the M3000. Mind you, it works fine when I work fine, and I probably need more practice, I'm just wondering if anyone has tried it.
  2. No need, The nuts it comes with seem to work. I'll show you next time I see you.
  3. Another question .. has anyone lightened up their lifter spring? Do you get any benefit from doing so? Any downsides? How many coils did you take off and how did that work out for you? Ok so is a question set
  4. I get that, specially if you are super picky about locations. I just have enough plates on the belt that I can mix and match as needed
  5. My problem with TMMS is the tec loks which I generally dislike. For our games I like the ELS bolt through the belt approach, and I even like their belt. I know Mark has seen the belt closure come undone a lot, and I've seen it too but I think that is very easy to fix, I just run an extra belt keeper or two where I think it needs it.
  6. Generally the "universal" mag pouches break down into "universal" and "glock". So for example my universal ones can be adjusted to fit M&P, CZ, Beretta, or Sig, but NOT Glock.
  7. So my first experiment with color coded adhesives might have been a failure. Although I tried very carefully to only apply it to the outside "ears" it clearly migrated and glued the entire thing in the down position. A bit of force fixed that with no damage, but it seems that fold down part is spinning the pin. It did this before as well, while it was drifting, so it means nothing but I hope that the pin is now glued to the blade, and spinning freely in the end pieces which would be fine. If drifts again, I'll purposely glue it to the blade and let the ends spin
  8. I've seen 2 break on the range. The first one we "fixed" by scavenging 5 range bags for the correct diameter roll pin, cutting it size with a Leatherman, and hammering into place with a random heavy object. The second time we kinda pushed it back in, it looked like it hold up for the rest of the match, and the gun went to smith after.
  9. Sorry, I may have overreacted, I had a bizarre morning.
  10. Oh FFS, I was waiting for you to come up with that ... Again, someone go report me to USPSA, PLEASE.
  11. I agree reshoot. The holes in the target are irrelevant to your performance if the broken target start flying around blocking vision or being disruptive. Honestly, at a local match I may give the shooter a choice to keep things moving, but at a major match that should be a reshoot.
  12. Yeah, it does seem the bars are running higher and further inside at at first seems. There seems to be plenty of clearance in there even if at first it doesn't seem so. I figure if there is any contact the finish on the bars will quickly show it. Thank you all.
  13. Ok, thank you very much, I'll take some brave pills and try it.
  14. And the nuts allow for enough clearance for the bars? That's my big worry. I'm not fond of Velcro mounting, there was a match where I tried to load the entire thing into the chamber, shell, holder and velcro still attached because I ripped out the whole thing.
  15. Why don't you just walk around the house? That's what I do, and to mimic uneven footing or natural terrain I have to step over cats and dodge the dog. Personally I rather not eat a face full of treadmill as I have to suddenly decide if I want to drop the rifle with with the expensive scope and gouge the floors so I can have hands available to catch myself. I suspect I'd think about that for to long.
  16. Can I bother you for a picture? I have the OS one.
  17. I assumed, it was a generic "you", not you specifically Mr Kelly
  18. Have you guys mounted match savers (or clones) on the M3000's? The handguard being thin worries me a bit, plus there are moving bits inside of it and I've been staring at it trying to decide where it would be safe to drill. My buddy mounted one on his 1301 (which has a surprisingly similar handguard and his install was inspired by this, but if anything the M3000 is even thinner there so I'm a not sure there is enough plastic to fit the nuts.
  19. Do you even have to depress the lifter, or just sneak in the shells through the cut out?
  20. No problem Tom, I wasn't holding you responsible for this
  21. Vlad

    THIS SPRING?

Maybe they are just selling a spring. Is it a car sized shock absorber?
  22. Thanx for the ideas, I'll start with loctite and work my way up and see what works.
  23. Hi all, I had MOA install a 10/22 rear sight on my M3000 and I noticed that after about 100rd or so the pin on which the sight pivots began to drift. Anyone had that issue and how have you fixed it?
  24. None, assume the trigger will suck on any of those guns. If it doesn't, yay for you, but assume that it does and at the minimum add in the ALG trigger for $50 or so.
  25. So your plan is to put $1000 of accessories on a $500 gun?
