Ive been using a 14 lbs recoil spring with no problems with 147 gr bullets. I also have a reduced power striker spring. I tried an 11 lbs recoil spring but that was to light for the gun to be reliable.

Though decision. If you dont mind spending the money then upgrade. I know I would but I dont think that the extra little length with give you that much of a an advantage. Look at how many people shoot glock 17s. In the end youre only adding 3/4 of an inch of barrel

Precision delta also offers loaded ammo, both new and reman. I have never bought thier loaded ammo, but I have loaded alot of thier bullets. I think they also provide the match ammo for matches that offer that.

Another reason to label them in production is because you can only have ten in the mag at the start signal. I put 11 in first mag on stages with loaded starts so that on "make ready" after I load and rack the slide Im legal. When theyre labeled I know what mag to start with.

I also do 25 yards and recheck at other distances

It happpens to everyone, it just seems like the better shooters dont let it mess up the mental aspect of the rest of that stage as much as some to the less experienced shooters. When they just keep going like nothing happened you just might not relize what just happened.

I was just wondering the same thing, Ive got mine set up with plenty of .40 minor ready to go. Until then Ill just have to shoot the 9mm and use the .40 for practice until I burn up all that ammo. Once thats gone Im done loading .40 minor until its approved

The way I look at it the price of gas is going to have to be a $10 a gallon before going to the bar the night before and not shooting is cheaper then not going to the bar and shooting the day! That being said we have a long way to go before I cut back on matches

I see that you said that you have 1500 rounds of ammo so I would use what I have to start if I was you. After that is gone I would recommend using the heavier wieght bullets. Alot of shooters feel that heavier bullets produce less muzzle flip. Thats why I use 147gr in my 9mm production gun. Also while getting good hits is important in all divisions it is even more important any time that you are scoring minor since youll have less points to divide by your time unless you shoot all A's. Remember that each miss you dont go back and pick up with a make-up shot is a 10pt penalty.

pretty sure the remingtons are 80 series if that makes any diffarnce to you. I personally would find something 70 series

I would have to agree with Jdhunz and say get the supertuned over the CRP. Its only $200 more then the CRP hardchromed, and they do a good job.

You will also have file/sand the edges on the arredondos to get them to seat with a dawson mag well, at least on the old style.

+1 on the dawsons, the arredondos are junk. I had a couple and the best thing I ever did for my para was replace then with dawsons. On the arredondos every once in a while the follower would turn and get stuck down or the little fingers on the retainer part would bind with the spring not letting you load more then 15 or so until you corrected it

About a year ago when the regular m&p mags were hard to find I called s&w to order some. They told me that they were backordered and it would be 4-6 weeks but I ordered them anyway. About a week later I had them. If something is hard to find for one of their guns just call them, they are very easy to deal with. You might have to pay retail but the up side is that there is no runaround to get what you need. I spent more time trying to find 9mm high cap mags instock then it took for thier "backordered" ones to arrive.

brazos has thier High Performance Edge for close to the same price, just another option and it looks like they tear the guns down and go through them

I love my m&ps, much more natural feel then the glock, has been very reliable, and unlike the XDm its american made. Get some extra mags, an apex trigger kit, watch how to install it on youtube and youre ready to go.

I like 147gr with tightgroup, I have also read some people like 160gr but Ive never tried them. Some people say the heavier bullets knock down steel better. The last couple years I shot .40 and in Sept witched to 9mm so everything I load is cheaper then I was used of. I dont think that $.01 per bullet if not less on a bulk order should determine what wieght to shoot. 124gr vs 147gr saves what? $10 or so on a 1000 round order?

Ive only outlined the A zone on my mini dryfire targets but I like the paster idea. Might have to use a sharpie to colar the paster during live fire so it doesnt blend in with the other pasters. I know I should practice with the classic targets but I dont just because they are rarely used around here. I do see where the outlined A zone would really help during practice with them

I also stippled the front, and then bought some talon grip tape. You can cut off the backstrap part of the tape and it will almost look like the tape and stippling are factory. I did end up taking the tape off because I decided the stipple was more agressive. But consider that option if you dont want to get stuck with something you cant change

replacement one are extremely cheap, so i used an old soldering iron and did my own since i had very little to loose. you would be surprised how easy it is. you can practice on the sizes that you dont use. a soldering iron can be found for $15 or cheaper. i know price has gone up by now but i bought mine at sears for less then $10 about 7 years ago. If you do buy one from SSS i think they are in the vendors tent!

I started with red but switched to green. Right now Im using yellow and perfer that over the other colars. It seemed alittle dull at first but after getting used of it I like it becuase the outside of the sight post stands out more. I would use whatever I had at the time over a standard sight.

Never tried to find out what size group i could get, but i can shoot 4 in steel plates all day freestyle at 40 yards. i use 147 gr precision deltas
