Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I instruct trap shooting and shoot a handful of uspsa matches a year if I'm lucky. I had custom molded plugs made after the ringing started. I should have paid the 185 long ago. Seriously they are the quietest thing I've tried. I double up with electronic muffs and call it a day. When I had the plugs made I asked the guy if even with doubling up over time damage was happened, he conceded that there was, all those micro split second loud bangs add up.

    Connector Comparison

I like the Ghost once I got it dialed in. At first I had issues with it. I would pull the trigger and then have to pull a little more. Finally I got the overtravel right and I stopped having problems with it hanging up. Much better then oem on my 17. I don't think I'd like it if it was any lighter.

    Magpul question

Good info. I've been looking at ETS and based on the limit amount of results from google searches like problems with, issues, fte with ETS I think I'm going to order a few to give them a try, probably do the same with the magpuls too for fun.
  4. This is tempting too. I've been watching these for a while. Sound like the issues people have reported in the past are addressed for the large part. I always sort of thought that the hold open function would be needed for PCC but I guess if you don't let it run dry and plan the reloads it wouldn't be an issue.
  5. I'm really excited for this at it's price point. I've been lusting after a 9mm AR for a long time, but just couldn't pull the trigger on one for the price. Also all the talk about problems people have with lower priced AR types. Either way, for the price if it's not all that great it'll still be fun for camping.
  6. bidding... Oh yeah baby!
  7. That's good to hear... I'm building a DD 14.5 LW after just finishing an 18 build with a normal DD barrel...
  8. It looked good to me, super light for having that much rail...
  9. Glad you got a good one, I finally had to complain to the BBB to get a resolution to 709. OP-I'd look for a used kahr cm,cw- don't go higher then 9mm, glock 26,27, ruger lcr or lcp.
  10. I'm glad you got the ex part right. Had similar things happen to me, and the best advise I got was lucky you found who the kind of person she was before it was too late.
  11. Glad yours is working well. I really love mine, even with the heavy trigger pull. I'm still trying to get mine to run right. About 3 rounds out of a hundred totally FTE- leaving a casing in the barrel and a fresh round slamming into it. Hopefully it's break in issue.
  12. ACI, sounds like a good start and you've already tried it:) Must have had fun, or you wouldn't be back:)) When you feel the need for improvement in your gear, I'd start with more mag pouches & lose the UMCP. Not sure what type holster/belt you have, but I'd go for a good one, too - makes a difference in draws/reloads. Getting into reloading is a GREAT idea - good luck with that. You should be able to make some ammo which is less expensive and more fun to shoot (accurate & less recoil). Your gun is one of the better ones - shouldn't be necessary to change that any time soon. Switching to Limited is a whole other situation - then you need another gun, mags, etc - probably in .40 caliber. I'd stick with what you have for a few months, anyway, and see what your preferences are - try to shoot some other guys' guns - try out other production and limited guns. More expensive to get into a competitive Limited gun. Have a blast. Jack Thanks. I have a comp-tac holster. Thanks for the encouragement! 40 is going to be pricey if I decide to do that.
  13. Just starting out shooting USPSA-- I'm thinking of starting in production. I'm decently fast at my reloads, and I figure I'll be faster by the end of the year if I go with production. I've heard that it's easier to start in limited just so you focus on shooting and not reloading... I guess I'll figure it out soon enough. I shot limited in a match last month due to limited gear. Also I'm going to shoot a practice match this week this weekend. I have, I believe everything I'll need. 2 single mag pouches- no name kydex, 1 dual uncle mikes crappy pouch, a holster and belt. Oh and a S&W MP Pro 9. So for starting out I think I'm fine for mags for now I have 6-7. And I stocked up on Ammo ~1500 should last a little while- then I will hopefully have my reloading stuff squared away. So I'm open to lots of advice from the hive....
  14. I'd be really interested in a picture or a short write up. I've been looking at kydex molding but it seems like a lot of time and work...
