  1. It seems like when I go to local matches most of the new shooters like to shoot left to right , maybe because that is how the read? But the Problem is alot of them will go out of the way on an array just so they can shoot left to right. It is important to practice both and be able to do both. If it doesn't matter because its a speed shoot or something striaight forward then I perfer right to left.
  2. I used to have problems with "glock brass" in my para, got a egw U die and the problem went away
  3. That would be a magloc, Look up M&P magwell on Ebay, they are on there for $18.50

    M&P40 Pro

Its been a couple months and still waiting
  5. I know that people do it on purpose and that its part of the game but one of my biggest pet-peeves is when a whole stage is designed so that the ports are high and the targets are close and low making it so that the only way to engage them is to go all the way into the port. I try to stay back and out of the ports when ever I can but alot of times the stage design doesnt allow it. The other thing to consider is sometimes if the targets are really spread out it might be faster to go in the port then to slowly circle the outside to find all the targets. When ever you do enter a port make sure you are following the sights in towards a target, not just sticking the gun in and then finding the sights and targets
  6. Some people say that they cant afford to practice alot. When thats just b.s. Dryfire is free exept your time and a 9v battery every couple months for your timer. Dont get me wrong, there is no substitute for live fire, but you will gain more from 20-30 min of dryfire 5 times a week then you will from $20 of ammo each week.
  7. In the past I never really did much dryfire practice but this year I did. It works. I went from a C class shooter to an A class shooter in only 6 months and I fired far less live rounds this year then I did the last 2 years. When dryfiring you can work on so many little things that you dont need ammo to practice. Things like draws, reloads, coming into position with the sights on target so you can get that first shot off faster, learning how to balance speed and acurracy, shooting on the move, the list goes on forever. Then when you do live fire you are just making sure you are dryfiring correctly. The biggest thing that cant be duplicated in dryfire is finding the A zone back on your second shot after recoil.
  8. Ordered this morning and checked my email when I got home. Fedex sent me an email with a tracking #. They recieved it about 9 hours after I ordered it!
  9. If we do away it the 10 round rule for production that kind of makes if unfair for restricted cap states. At that point what do we do with the shooters with poly guns from those states when they go to an area match? Put them against the $4000 custom 2011 in L10? As hard as it is to believe some people would rather shoot glocks and m&ps to 1911 style guns
  10. Changing 9mm so you could make major at this point would be a much bigger deal then the attemped first shot trigger wieght rule for production and we all know how well that went over.
  11. If we could make major with 9mm in limited then we all know that there are people out there that would go to all the local matches that don't chrono guns and claim major with normal factory ammo. In open most people are going to stay honost because they want the extra gas for the comp. Thats not to say people dont ever shoot .40 minor and claim major, but at least they have to put some effort into cheating and think it though. Another thing, not much off the shelf 9mm ammo that makes major
  12. 11 in the 1st mag from the farthest pouch back. If the stage is a unloaded start you need to make sure to strip the extra round out of the mag before the buzzer goes off.
  13. I think everyone that has shot a lot of wwb ammo has had some problems at some point. If someone doesnt want to reload they could always spend the extra money for hornady.
  14. When you look inside the gun is the tab that the follower hits bent or anything like that. If it is it could be getting caught on the mag or feed ramp. The slide lock on these guns have a spring on them so if the slide lock and spring are ok and not damaged then the only thing that could coiuld cause this is if something is actually pushing it up into the lock position.
  15. Mine are all vertical just because I like them all as far forward as possible while still being production legal. With 6 mags takes up alot of space
  16. cr versa pouches are great, keep all the adaptors that come with them and they can be used with just about any gun in all divisions. Well, might be hard to put moon clips in them. Just get a full out race holster for limited instead of something like a bladetech. Love my bladetech for production, but its still no race holster. When I shot limited I used a cr speed holster and while some people say its not as good as a ghost style holster its still why better then a bladetech for games
  17. I always use either surefires or just the cheap winchester orange plugs from walmart. They are softer then most of the rubber plugs so it doesnt make your ears sore from taking them in and out all the time. I have used both electronic and regular muffs. They are all to hot to wear in the summer for hours at a time.
  18. If the farm field has tiling in it already I would see if you can put alot of tile on the range and tie it into the farm tile. Then you can get the water away from the range completely. At that point you could use about what ever you wanted for sureface. I personally like short mowed grass the best. Gravel sucks, even on a static stage.
  19. I would buy one if they did. I would much rather hold a book and read it then a kindle
  20. Will give it a try, my reloads are pretty fast but can be inconsistant every once in a while. Thats been something that I've really been trying to clean up. I've noticed that at alot of the local matches with static stages that a good reload is about the easiest way to lower a stage time. Spit times might vary .1 seconds or so per shot but if someone can save .5 seconds on a great reload vs a good reload thats huge on a 3 or 4 second stage
  21. I would rule that you should not be RO'ing, since in my poor humble opinion you do not understand the term "freestyle". FWIW Mildot Don't even go there. The reason that I stated that the forbidden action ruling should be used is because when I took the ro class alittle over a year ago a situation like this was brought up and this was the instuctors ruling. So either he was wrong or the entire nroi is wrong if this ruling is wrong.
  22. what should be done if someone finds an unintended hole in the rules that completely underminds the intent of the stage is that it should be declared a forbidden action. Rule 3.2.6. allows for that. I would rule that waiting until after the last shot to perform the manditory reload a forbidden action. I'm a gamer too but when you find a way to perform part of the stage off the clock that completely ruins the stage for the hole match.
  23. I normally start every dryfire practice with little drill. Draw and fire two rounds at the "a"zone, reload and two more to the "A" zone at about 10 ft with 1/3 size target against par time. When I do that I'm mostly just using the reload as part my warm up. After that I just try to work the reloads into my normal drills as part of the drill and not the only thing that I am worried about during the drill. Your reloads will speed up in a hurry if you make an honost effort to improve the reload with a lot of dryfire practice
