  1. Nice! jmorris. How long where you loading before you put that together? I'm thinking Alaska is the place to be for fishing and hunting. I just don't see a 22LR being enough gun. 12ga. with some of each, bird shot, buck shot, and slug. And than maybe a sword for backup.
  2. You have check all the bolt, nuts and screws? I've had the arm with the plastic square come off the powder bar then pop back on it because the bolt was lose. I also keep an eye on the rebound bar to make sure its in adjustment. And I double spring the powder bar. And I always keep the kids out of the loading room.
  3. Start 5 or 10% lower and be safe.
  4. Federal are softer, try Winchester. Different barrel will, could have, different PF. Meaning higher pressure.
  5. Are these Federal primers? It looks like they burned a hole? What is your PF after the work?
  6. I don't know that I would agree with that Warren. The US ships ammo all around the world to fight it's wars. I have never heard of that as a problem. What would you say about VV being shipped hear and used?
  7. You may have a ringer problem, that is when the primers bottom is punched but the sides stay in the case. So when you try and insert the new primer the old one is still in, causing the case to pop out of the shell plate. Good luck
  8. I was thinking, if someone had a Casepro and was using it to roll size Winchester brass, what the out come would be?
  9. We have classes for RO and SO's, with that said. Patients is a virtu, as an RO, SO or Competitor. I ran around with a gun my entire life, well not the first 8 years . When I first heard about USPSA and that there was a jump test, (that was in the nineties). The Guy Scared me off. I told him,Troy a local gun dealer, he was nuts! Kept me out of the sport for 10 or more years. New shooter's need to be handled with kit gloves so their feelings and ego's don't get hurt! and for sure so that they are not embarrassed. Because we want our sport to grow, right! I'm not saying let them run wild on the range. I'm saying, it's not my Marine Corps boot camp. At our ranges, we make all new shooter's watch a match first. Than if they com back, they get a short class on the range commands and safety rules. That is it. And in my opinion that is all they need to start. The RO or SO needs to be vigilant and do their job with the Newbies. They, the RO or SO keep everyone safe, is that not why they are there? Than, if the Newbie comes back, we strongly recommend that they take the RO or SO class to help them understand the sports better. I find that Newbie's are alway more aware of safety, to the point they go ultra slow. My point being, better RO's and SO's make us all safer on the range and a sport that is pure joy to participate in.
  10. I saw it last night, good movie. Only, the ending was predictable. I'd see it again when it gets to Netflix.
  11. That is for the longer rifle powders, you may have some problem with VV pistol but, its unlikely.
  12. Try squeezing your mag front to back a few 1,000's to widen it out. post how it goes
  13. I have found all powders will be effected by temperature. Save a powder Federal is using in their sniper rounds I understand changes very little. I have been testing V310 in a 5" Rev and have had velocity changes with temp changes.
  14. I can't get 500 rounds done while loading on any "hand loader" with out some sort of problem occurring. I can see a lot of problems with both types of machines. Primers drop, bad cases, bullet drop are just a few. When a stall happens, what will break? Spend the $40k and get an Ammoload. Good Luck
  15. Welcome, We have snow! and its cold. 30's Go Vikings! wait, its not fall! Its global warming Good luck!
  16. I think the winchester brass is softer than it used to be. I have been noticing a lot of bent up rims on the once fired I have tried to use. Which makes me wonder if the pockets are, shall I say deformed after firing? I don't have a casepro so they go to re-cycle.
  17. Its a Its a moon dance! Guess I've been luck so far! our guys pick them up naturally. I don't know why, they just do. I owe them one .
  18. Talked me into it. Going right now!
  19. He is a citizen as am I, we have Rights guaranteed under the Constitution! Let's not throw all of OUR rights under the bus with this murder. Remember New Orleans!
  20. You can try Paul at Grundhauser Gun Works he is really good and priced right!
  21. How much time do you have? If you like to have clean primer holes you can buy the really small corncob add Dillion case prep and get them clean. But, I would run them though the de-caper again. Good Luck!
