  1. Hi, I have 2 Dillion electronic that are at least 5 years old and 1 Herter's mechanical. I check them all for accuracy before I use them. I bought a food scale for the guns. Took it to the post office and used their weight to check it. It was very close to being correct. Then when I wanted to know for sure, I took the gun over and weighed it. Just don't take the gun in without asking first!!!
  2. Hi Jensey, I'm a little late in this topic but here is .02, one option that I have not seen here in this topic is a way to save money in the long run and not get beaten up on the way. If you buy a .40 or .45 you can down load to minor until you learn to match manage and gain shooting ability. Than you can work your loads up to major over time and not be beaten up on the way. You may not even notice the change, if your lucky! GOOD LUCK!
  3. I liked it ! Mr. Whyte, Tom Drazy is having a 686 cut for moon clips by GrundhauserGunWorks as we speak. Change is inevitable --- SEMPER-FI back at ya!
  4. I have been setting up, i.e. new used 625's, holster, belt, moon-clips, moon-clip loader and de-loader and gunsmithing. Next, dry firing since Nationals-- I started shooting wheel win I got my first colt SS in .22 at 10. I love'em, I'm so happy with this! and wanna thank Rob, Phil and whom ever else was involved in making this National venue happen. So Yes, I'm going to give this a real try. I'm just a A class (really a C)
  5. I to am late to this awesome topic. The more choices the better, 6 major or 8 minor it's up to the shooter. Put optics on them and call them "Open". Why not? We have rules in place for "Open" major/minor already. I think that brings in new/more shooters. I believe good stage design will rule. i.e. 6 round neutral. I've noticed this same dilemma with stage design at SSN. It seems to me, that match ends up having very few minor shooters maybe, its because, points rule. All that is for next year--this year I want to see how Jerry, Matt and even Rob shake out on an even field. Heck I wanna know how I'll end up against the best in the world! Also, I would support the Postal Match Idea.----When can we start? Me name is John Koppi--for Mr. Rob--I'd post a picture if it wouldn't break the net :-)
  6. I CAN FEEL THE PAIN, I had my strong hand, left shoulder RC done on the 20th of Dec. WOW! the pain!.. Behind the back is the worst-- hopefully by the 15th of may I'll be ready for the SSN and the RN's I can't even pick up a gun yet-- Lots of good advise on here, so, I'm going to take it really slow.
  7. Check out the rules so you don't get bitten.
  8. Sorry should have looked a little harder as to the maker. It's the same. LOL
  9. It is Back, I had one for years. Load thousands of rounds with one. Love it. Was made by Franklin, who is selling it?
  10. This needs to be fought not complied with. We all need to support whom ever is willing to fight this fight in NY with what ever it takes to win. It's just one step to ALL our rights going down to the tyranny of th radical leftist on the coasts.
  11. I have a Schuemann barrel 40 cal., 5 inch gain twist I have been shooting this past year. I love it and it's a tack driver. Help me get a fourth place at nationals this last year. Highly recommended.
  12. I need 5 of those. Any available? Wait 6 is what I need, I have a friend--one anyway.
  13. Send it back to whom ever made it and have them fix it.
  14. I don't know if anyone has mentioned this. But, a little back ground. I took one class and it was from Robby at the Winchester steel match in CO. On the draw, he said I looked ridged. "Just relax and let it happen". I know this sounds easy, it's not when your pumped. But, it works--
  15. HI, The bigger the better! Are you an RO? if not it would be a very good thing to get done prior if possible. In fact the whole family should take the class. That will really make you feel much more confidant. Good luck and shoot well.
  16. HE ALSO HAS OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE.
  17. The other issue may be that the air cannot exit the case fast enough thereby stoping the powder from getting in, you need to make a exit hole for the air, Maybe. You can as you come off the case stop just above the it with the funnel still in the neck, tap the funnel to make sure the powder is done falling.
  18. WE MUST STAND TOGETHER! AND NOT LET ANY more BANS HAPPEN TO OUR RIGHTS UNDER THE 2ND---IT IS NOT REALLY ABOUT the "SHOOTING SPORTS" it is about who governs the people, WE THE PEOPLE or the would be KINGS! Once the Firearms are gone---who can stop a tyrant? It's time to send the NRA another $100! do the capital letters come on to strong?
  19. I love this topic! I was lucky enough to shoot with Mr. Angus Hobdel a long time ago at the FL Open. We where talking about shooting the really close targets--he said to me "you have to shoot all A's on targets that are close or your giving away your match" it takes just a micro-second to make it an A by looking at your sights. I have to admit that sometimes I forget that advise--it bites back!
  20. I have noticed the the dates have changed. The SS is being shot on Wed-Fri, the Revolver is Sat. I may be wrong, but that is what it looks like to me. P.S. Congrats on the Fencing Blueridge and good luck in 2013.
  21. Hi, I want to thank all those people involved in putting on the Area and National matches, THANK YOU! you gals and guys are doing the work 98% of us don't want to do or don't have the time to do it. And your spending way to much of your own money to do those mostly un-thanked jobs. Volunteering is one thing servitude is another and no compensation for your HARD work is unforgivable. If the 98% are not willing to work, than they should be willing to pay the way of those that are. I save all year to attend the Nationals it is a great match. If it where to cost another $100 I would not go out to dinner two more times during the year and pay it, no problem. THANK YOU gals and guys again you do a great job! and I can't wait to shake your hands again and tell you that face to face! Because you make this sport FUN for me. John Koppi L-2680
