  1. my issue with the primer collator, which should be fixed when I get the new one, is that during the higher speeds the primer disc movement is so snappy it throws primers out to the edge and they roll up and jam under the black finger.
  2. I really hope I can get mine to run like that once I get my parts back. There was no way I could feed primers from my Collator at that speed. What is your powder accuracy like? Is that about a 1 dwell at the bottom?
  3. I've settled on the Henning baseplates too, absolutely love how the baseplate sits more flush to the front of the mag unlike other baseplates. I thought I wouldn't like it or notice a difference in that feature, but once I put them on, I immediately noticed it and liked it.
  4. I've been looking at sleeving mine and making a reduced size piston to go inside it
  5. yes some form of micrometer on the knob would be awesome
  6. I've had to replace the small spring that is part of the cartridge shuttle, once I was able to reuse the piece that broke off as it was long enough still. Not sure what caused the spring to break.
  7. I install 85 Combat triggers in all my Shadow and Shadow 2s
  8. happens to the best of us lol, I know I've done similar many many times
  9. also consider a regular mag catch out of a Shadow

    Best magazines?

the current mags shipping with the Shadow 2 are MecGar mags. Eventually CZ will run out of the crap original mags and do a full switch over to the MG mags. However with a regular SP01 you will need to bend the mag catch spring to stop it from being able to be depressed too far and binding up on the mags. That's because the thickness of the metal and outside dimensions is a tad bit more on the MG mags. with the Shadow 2 it's a non issue due to the improved mag catch design.
  11. Hnnn that doesn't look too bad, but I wouldn't expect it to run any different, we're talking a pretty minimal weight difference. I want them to get their crap together with the Arcore (nitride) treatment on frames and start shipping Arcore only models, even if they cost a hundred or 2 more.
  12. He will be focusing on PD from what I've been told, and also playing in Open. I'd also expect to see him play in PDO
  13. hahaha, I'm sure they will get right on it
  14. nice, but I want a DA first shot and no safeties
  15. a number of us are constantly lobbying them for this. A Shadow 2 frame turned into an Open gun would be my dream. I know of two existing ones and love them.
  16. Maria's always wanted to shoot Open CZ would prefer her to stay in Production. Robin also wants to shoot Open so we'll see how this year turns out.
  17. some front sights have more tension than others, and you want that tension otherwise you end up with barrel bushings going down range... That ground down sight looks good! CZ makes a number of different plates, but not for the Aimpoint Acro yet, it's not on the market yet so no rush I guess. I'm hoping that other manufacturers start making plates too.
  18. no idea when mine shows up, was supposed be in the first shipment but wasn't. I've got a Delta Point Pro for initial use, but will be looking at other options once I get some time behind it. I'd like to try the new Acro from Aimpoint when it hits. Not sure if I'm going to run Optics at all this year, like I did last year (with irons lol) but if I feel comfortable behind it I will do a few matches I'm sure. If only to see where I fall compared to the others in the Division, I did alright with irons against them after all.
  19. Some? One of the best shooters on the planet hands down, not best woman shooter, best shooter, so yeah, throwing Mash's name on a gun will make it worth more, especially when you bling it up.
  20. yeah I've heard from many who have left the fibre in there how big of a distraction that is
  21. you put the roll pin back in right? When mine shows up I'm taking an old 5.5mm sight from an old Shadow and cutting it down flush so that it will still provide good tension on the roll pin, they can walk if there is no sight pressing down on them.
  22. oh I know that, normally, mine were done back to back by the same guy though, with frames pulled at the same time.
  23. Oh I am sure CZ knows why, and I understand that they won't share that info outside their management. But I still want to know why. The drawings are definitely not something a teenager could do, I studied mechanical drawing and drafting as well as engineering and have seen the new drawings compared to the old, many many things changed. The cafeteria at CZUB isn't bad, but they only eat in there for lunch lol

    shadow 2 crack?

yeah my new frame is marked C035351 1, sadly it's not an Arcore frame (arrrrrrggg, considering have it stripped and nitrided myself). Since we only register the frame and not the slide, it's no problem. The old frame now has my Shadow 2 Kadet kit on it and works great. Going to have it milled to remove the cracked area as well.

    CZ Shadow 2

very interesting MsDV8, I would have thought the strategy required on IPSC stages where YOU have to figure out the best way to shoot the stage vs IDPA where it's required you shoot it a specific way, would be harder not easier. I know since my head injury I've found strategizing stages much harder than before. I used to be able to walk about and know the right way almost instantly, now it can take a few walkthroughs before I get it, if I get it. and the memorizing and visualising of the stage is a lot harder now too.
