  1. the theories on why they have cracked forget one thing, Shadows made at the same time, aren't cracking. Same metal, same machining, although done on different machines, and same basic design and specs. The 2 has had all dimensions trued better than the 75 did, resulting in a tighter gun, but that shouldn't account for the cracks. I've looked at my 6 Shadow which have almost a million rounds through them, none are cracked. My practice gun is at 75,000+ rounds, no crack, and it's consecutively serial numbered to my match gun which did crack. There has to be a specific reason for this that we haven't figured out. Also, CZ clones have experienced this as well, enough that some have solved the problem the same way, cutting the offending ara out.

    CZ Shadow 2

CZ sends the 2 out with multiple springs, but, like the Shadow, they are sending them out with springs that will fire the worst of the worst duty ammo. Swapping the springs out for lighter ones is absolutely in keeping with the intent of Production division as almost all the manufacturers had lighter ones available from them, the factory.

    CZ Shadow 2

I've never had a screw move after loctiting it, ever. weird Nordic Springs are from Lars Hagemann in Denmark. He sell his springs directly to CZ as well as anyone who wants em. Great products.
  4. I would love to see a way of mounting directly to the slide without a plate.
  5. yeah that's the same setup I'm running
  6. I got mine through a sponsorship deal, but at the time there were a few out and about in the market.
  7. I would personally still pay extra for an Arcore (Nitride only) model, it's soooo much nicer. my match and practice S2s are both Arcore only, and I love them much much more than my new match frame.
  8. I was running an 8lb since I got the gun, but have switched to a 9lb as Robin Sebo says they work better. But he doesn't run a shock buff and I do, so I don't know that it really makes a difference there. What I've been told is that recoil springs are all about feeding the next round in, they do little to deal with the slide coming back, the hammer spring does more there.

    shadow 2 crack?

that area is exactly the same though, that's what is weird. other than optimizing the hole for the slide stop, there are no changes to that area

    shadow 2 crack?

material strength would make sense if it happened in Shadows as well, but it hasn't been an issue there.

    shadow 2 crack?

nah I've watched the frames get cast and machined too many times to think there is any Skoda in there lol. I would love to get a better answer on the crack and it's reasons though. Soooo many theories and the factory is not saying anything. The machining on the 2 has always impressed me and these new frames especially so. Now I have to find someone to DLC this thing

    shadow 2 crack?

bwahahahahaha I haven't swapped out to the new frame yet, I've built it, but still running the cracked one for now. Being sponsored by CZ (sort of, it's weird) I got to keep the cracked frame and will end up putting my 22 conversion kit on it. But I want to explore getting the new frame stripped and nitrided or some other spiffy coating. I love the Arcore look waaaay too much. Might even DLC it if I can (which is similar to nitride I think????) And I drive a Volvo damnit!!!!! my second one, drove the last one to 1,000,000+ km . jeez a scoda??? that is just mean. I'm gonna go cry in my safe space now.

    shadow 2 crack?

you might want to do some reading. there have been a number of us crack frames, shooting minor loads, many have actual pieces fall out of the frame, and at low round counts too. hence the reason for the replacement frame above
  14. I wash, dry, process (including decapping and sizing) then wash again, dry again, and set aside for loading

    shadow 2 crack?

Here is my new frame to replace my cracked match frame. The red spots are from the Coolfire barrel I am currently playing with in the match gun's slide. Finish on this frame is very nice, the coating seems different than the polycoat I am familiar with, it's not as sweet as my Arcore finished ones though, but still very nice. The machining is tight and no blems at all. Match slide fits on tight, no slop at all.
  16. there seems to be an issue with a few of the swage sense out there. Mine on both my machines sensors work just fine, but I know others who've had zero luck with theirs

    shadow 2 crack?

yeah those are just marked for CZUSA by CZUB, that gun is definitely made in the Czech by CZUB

    shadow 2 crack?

Sorry are you saying your CZ Shadow 2 is made in the USA?
  19. if you were local I'd be in for one for sure, I just use a small coffee can to fill the FART, but this would make it a lot easier
  20. if i did the level of inspection in that video I'd never get to shoot
  21. I used the Harbor Freight one, it walks across the floor with a ton of brass in it. Way more crazy than the smaller ones do.
  22. put a 5 gallon bucket on a big tumbler, put trays in bucket, turn on tumbler, works pretty damn good for the setup.
  23. Yes I've checked all the things with trigger bar and spring, including taking one and adding more tension. It looks like the disco has a weird angle to the face that connects to the trigger bar. No work was done to the disco, so for some reason this one has worn strange. Never had that happen before. The backup/practice gun which has twice the round count doesn't do this and the disco looks fine. None of the 7 previous match guns had this happen either all going well over hundred thousand rounds each. In 12 years and 10 guns from CZ this is a first.
