  1. If you decide to go Weigand, let me know. I will probably sell you mine.
  2. Another vote for Abernathy. FWIW, I avoid shops in Georgia (wish I could recommend one in Tennessee).
  3. You already have the MkII and if it runs reliably, there's no point in complicating matters. Drilling and tapping the gun doesn't de-value it as others may or may not want it and you're only knocking out the rear sight. On the Weigand, I have it and it's okay. It sits higher than maybe desirable, but it takes less than like 10 minutes to install. Good luck.
  4. Jeff Abernathy without question
  5. My issue is the inconsistency in IOR quality. A lot of the guys over at Sniper's Hide have had issues with scopes that they've received. IOR is good about making the repairs but I for one don't want to drop that kind of coin on a scope and then have to send it back (sometimes more than once).
  6. Jon - Predator Tactical will make a left side mount on request. There's a California shooter that runs a left side slide racker with the Predator 90 degree scope mount.
  7. Using WSR for everything (9mm, 38S, 40, 223). Just makes it easier to keep track of everything. Best of luck.
  8. Played with an open gun by Predator Tactical with an Aimpoint on it on their mount. It was waaaaaay nicer than I thought it would be. I'd definitely consider it on my next gun.
  9. We mounted it straight to an AR upper and after removing the adjustable cheek piece for a standard stock, it was PERFECT! The "ambient" light setting is cool as well as the full bright. The dot is a real dot (i.e. like a C-More) that's more bright than any of the other "mini" scopes. Having an on/off switch is nice and it's a stout scope compared to any of the plastic ones. Glass clarity is typical C-More and on another AR with a laser, you could easily pick up the green laser separate from the red dot. Buy with confidence.
  10. No problem. I just got to put hands on one a couple of days ago and it's more than a little impressive. It's a really stout scope and hate saying it, but it's nice to see something this nice that doesn't feel like it's "made in China".
  11. I'd start with Shooter's Connection and go from there.
  12. Probably about the same time folks start buying them instead of complaining about them. No point investing in a platform that no one wants to buy. That said, I have a Sightron 2-7x that a buddy loaned me and it with a daylight illuminated dot would be PERFECT for 3-Gun.
  13. My buddy and I shoot 175's in factory 1:12 barrels and they're under 1/4 MOA all day with Varget, prepped brass and CCI BR2 primers. 2600 fps at the muzzle is still supersonic at 1k.
  14. I picked up the side mount from Predator Tactical and like it much better. The added flexibility of being able to have a back up scope makes it especially nice since you can also order just an additional side plate. Keep an extra C-More in your bag that's zero'ed and go for it.
  15. FWIW, the only reason folks have found the semi-rimmed 38 Super to be troublesome is because the guys building the guns don't know what they're doing. A buddy has well over 50k on an open gun in 38 Super and it runs all day with zero issues. The only palatable reason to go 38 SuperComp over 38 Super is the additional one round that many gain in a 170mm tube. However, given that it's not very difficult to find a mag bender that can make a 30+1 round mag, does 32 make that much of a difference or would time/money be better spent working on aiming and reloading practice?
  16. GA Precision is still arguably the best in the business when it comes to bolt rifles. I have a 243 Crusader and it's a much better shooter than I'll ever be. Dave
  17. Ran a dot for a bit and am going back to irons and a rib. Works great, it's fast and I've never seen someone win a match on the shotgun. I've seen many lose a match due to it though.
  18. I own a couple of rifles with JP triggers in them and love them. However, if I build another it will get Dave Lake's trigger job where he modifies the parts in a standard lower parts kit and makes a better trigger than anything I've felt. Works simple, it's rugged and reliable. I think he charges like $60. All he needs is your lower and trigger parts. Look up Sierra Arms in Modesto.
  19. As a friend says. Get the G35 'cause it's 13 better than a G22.
  20. There's a Cabela's about an hour from the range. Bass Pro and Sportsmans Warehouse are about 30 minutes from the range.
  21. Gose - That's specifically the reason why a friend that RO'ed the '04 MG Nationals hasn't RO'ed another one.
  22. Go to BAM Airsoft. Everything you could want without all the junk.
  23. Vortex! I've fully drank the Kool-Aid on these guys.
