That is why it was suggested you use a cz 75 shadow (short dustcover), rather than an sp-01 shadow (full dust cover) for idpa esp. Then you wouldn't have to worry about flat trigger, single action only, etc. that would make it ssp illegal and thus esp illegal. I agree the rules are silly.

Just ask CGW to make sure it's production legal. Reset can be reduced without making it a short reach trigger.

2000 sold for idpa. Uspsa has to put it on the production list. Do they have a minimum number sold?

I would suggest a match only slide stop if you're breaking them.

Can a Tactical Sport be modified into an IDPA ESP gun? Is there a rule that will disqualify it, or just can't be done?

I think the target II was designed specifically to address the illegality of the target in idpa (milled slide for adjustable rear sight).

I think it does. Straight up and down recoil would generally be quicker to get back on target.

It's very easy to deepen or widen the notch with small files. Then you can get it exactly the way you like it.

They are great guns. The P-01 is a decocker. Is your SP-01 a tactical (decocker) or manual safety model? I would think you would want the same manual of arms. CZ is supposed to come out with a P-01 omega in 2016 which will be convertable from decocker to manual safety.

Riding a safety should never prevent a gun from firing, so something is mechanically wrong.

I also had to use lapping compound to fit a 9 mm top on a .40 TS. Just too much friction without it.

I personally found the shadow target rear sight opening to be smaller than the competition sight, and preferred the competition sight for, well competition.

The shadow mags will not be compatible with the tactical sport, unless you have the grip kit for the TS. I have read that the grip kit and mags are not as reliable as the regular TS mags, but I have no personal experience with them.
