Motosapiens, if you carry a sig, it's not safe to decock that way. You must use the decocker. I believe the gun can fire if dropped if you don't use the decocker.

Unfortunately the old pre-ban cz and mec-gar 15 round mags can almost always hold 16 rounds. So even though marked 15, I would think they would be illegal in NJ, unless there is a state pre-ban exception. NY got rid of the pre-ban exception, and soon 10 round mags (or lower capacity) will be the only ones legal in the state. And you can only load 7 unless you're at the range!

I have small hands and have no problem with the safety. I don't shoot 1911s, so I can't compare.

The sp-01 shadow has a full dust cover.

Has anyone sent their Shadow in to have the barrel bushing placed? Did you notice a difference? Anyone disappointed?

No proof on the mag, but I believe 15 round magazines were only made prior to 1994. 16 round mags may be pre or post ban, can't really tell. Obviously any mag labeled LEO was post ban. 18 or 19 round mags are all post ban.

The front sights from cz custom seem to be very high quality. Make sure you use the pin.

Correct. And the 75 Shadow shoots very similarly to the SP-01 Shadow. I don't notice much of a difference.

I've also handled one at cz custom but never shot one. It is a thing of beauty. I hope someone who has one writes a review. I was sorely tempted.

For a holster that's 'convertible ' they really should have some kind of anti-rotation hex on the backing nut.

I don't have a CTS. I have seen and held one, and I don't see how you could drop 10 oz from it.

I've been using the cz 75 Shadow SAO in IDPA ESP. Great gun.

I've used a small o ring between the hammer and firing pin to dry fire.
