definitely 2-3 locations on yer forend. usually the middle is fine, but some places the near or far. with a low sloping roof like at superstition it was nice to have the bipod real close to the chamber. i have 3 on a full length JP hand guard.

guess i wasn't clear...for example, in 38supercomp a load of 4.2 gr of 452AA with 115 gr JHP gets muzzle velocity of 1005 fps. was curious if same load in 9mm would generate similar muzzle velocity of perhaps higher, given less case volume.

Taking the plunge-for those who have done it, can one assume that muzzle velocity will be a tad less given same powder charge? Using faster powders, Understand case volume is less, but are we talking close here? Looking for a starting point.

i went to our local hearing service and spent about $200 for custom molded ones...they are very nice, not cheap and fit like a glove. most of them are done by bigger guys out of town. mine were ready in 4 days.

TSA regs now state the following: Firearm magazines and ammunition clips, whether loaded or empty, must be securely boxed or included within a hard-sided case containing an unloaded firearm.so, wtf does "securely boxed" mean? if i do not want to put them in a case with the weapon, do they also have to be in some kind of locked container other than the locked bag containing both the firearm and the mags?

had to have a little kink fixed, so just got the barrel back and it's a shooter. .94" at 25 yds works fer me. and no sand bags either...
