hahahahaha-some smart folks made cash on this...check it out... http://f1.racing-live.com/en/headlines/new...623192628.shtml
  2. ok, one thing we haven't talked about yet is how to game this thing. without seeing the stage set up, my first thought is use an AR... actually, this would be a nice multi-gun stage-star and plate rack with s/g...
  3. ok all y'all who have already took the plunge to 10.4 (Tiger), I have a USPSA classification lookup Widget for ya. A work in progress, but grab it at: http://homepage.mac.com/acog c'mon BE, time to upgrade!

agree w/big dave 100%. tough luck for the michelin teams, but i feel terrible for the fans. you think IPSC/USPSA have sometimes anal rules, the FIA takes the cake, but they are serious about them. bottom line here, the tire war will be non-existent in '08 anyway...this incident just drove home who the lone supplier will be.
  5. rich-hope things are going well for ya. one word of advice-those shorts and tank tops you were used to on the left coast won't cut it over there...bundle up!!

  8. all i can say is that last 5% is a B&%*H! good luck!
  9. it's our club and i'm proud of the board for taking that step. actually, i think it's hilarious...

  11. i would absolutely love to see some stage descriptions...if you have time to scan/post, that would be great!
  12. i still like "stake" shoots...sawing a 4x4 in 1/2 is fun...great team event for 3gun side match-especially with buck or slugs...i have video somewhere of a group of guys doing this to a lawnmower!
  13. last sunday a guy showed up to shoot our 3 gun match-he gets there a bit late then asks if anyone has bolt cutters. his .308 is locked to his 3gungear cart! we send him to the range shack and someone is able to dispatch the cable. he comes back, shoots the match and leaves-without his M1A! anyway, we recovered the .308 and it's in good hands till it can be returned to the owner.
  14. i have this really sick feeling....but i'll sleep fine tonight...never owned an intel chip and don't plan on it...
  15. those are TGO times, erik. of course, we all leave our practice times at the range...
  16. when we were tearing down the long range rifle stages, several of our flashers had hits on the bar itself! someone was holding over (targets were about 180 yds) by a good 2 feet and i bet their rifle was zeroed at 200 yds! not good...
  17. many years ago i was ROing the golden gate match in richmond...had a stage called "the wall"...entire range was a huge wall with lots of small, narrow ports. anyway, i'm running some guy who had a bad habit of putting his gun into ports. and somewhere in the middle of the stage, after he engages his 3-4 targets, he pulls his gun out to head to the next port and i notice a topless cmore...he actually shot the rest of the stage with only the guts of the optic...the top half we retrieved while scoring.
  18. i assume since uspsa multi-gun rules allow for some experimentation, this would be an acceptable rifle target. OTOH, this might be a good slug target...
  19. I really did think it was a great idea, I just feel better that we did it in line with the match officials (majority) call on it :-) At a big match, with that course description, I'm all over it with ya ;-) It was a great day of shooting and the squad was great because of the rest of the members. -- Regards, <{POST_SNAPBACK}> well geoff, i agree...i set that stage up myself and after about 4.5 hours, i had enuf..planned on 2 more walls on each side of the black visqueen but as you noticed, we ran out of walls! kudos for shooting it the way ya did. BTW, i watched most of yer squad shoot it and was wondering why none of you did the pistol in mid-stage? IMHO, it was faster that way.
  20. i hate the fact that i cannot buy music anymore-seems like all the bands i liked are either dead or broke up. miss the dayz of hendrix, mountian, grand funk, etc. i hate the fact that i can't buy a hi-cap frame, a beta mag, a .50. i hate the fact that Sunn no longer makes bass amps. i hate the fact that everything that taste's good will kil you.
  21. didn't realize there are so many knowledgable F1 fans here. cool. my rant is i miss the classic tracks. bernie and his boyz have ruined hockenheim. san marino, and i figure spa will be next. i absolutely abhor those new tracks in bahrain, etc,. nothing interesting at all with them. and don't get me started, le mans is in a month. that place was raped!
  22. agree about the aero, but even at those speeds, downforce is very important. the vid yer referring to is the old nordschleife circuit, since closed to gp and group c racing. the track is almost 16 miles long and is incredibly dangerous. still used for slower races, it's also a place you can drive if yer ever there. you pay by the lap. amazing circuit.
  23. obviously had something to do with their finishing 15th & 17th-neither car made it to the end of the GP. shoulda spent more $$ in the wind tunnel.
  24. dave, i believe the uspsa shotgun rules allow for match directors to restrict type of ammo, so it's up to you. multi-gun rules should be silent on ammo. but i don't think any of our stages are gonna need buck. in fact, if you shoot buck on my stage, you'll be there awhile.
