  1. Your score sheet? From a match 3 years ago? Hell I cant remember the stages when I see the scores a day later at Norco. So how far back does your archive go? 1985 steel challenge...sick, huh?
  2. not in oregon-i remember that stage up on the hill...we were shooting those little plates out to 360 or so, and they were just 5 points. 2006 MG Nationals scored the steel as 2A (10 points) on stage 12 (titled "HLM"). 2007 A1MG (Albany, OR) and 2008 A1MG (also Albany, OR) both used enhanced target value for rifle on the "long range" stages - increasing target value as target distance increased. IIRC, the LR rifle stage was thrown out (bottle-neck issues?) in 2008. Or was it 2007? Enhanced target value seems to work well, and it make sense. I expect to see it in Vegas. ac i checked my scoresheet from the 06 MG nationals and all steel was scored only 5 pts on that stage. total points were 105, total rounds 21. i shot it pretty clean, dropping 7 on the paper.
  3. guess this is the place...lots or ranges there. http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source...mp;t=h&z=17
  4. i hate pro football-i hate those long hair extensions coming out of helmets.

  6. i'll be curious if this match might finally include enhanced target values for rifles targets. seems to me that since the rule provision was added, i've never seen it used at the nationals.
  7. definitely not a good idea, but mercury will absolutely make lead invisible.
  8. i always buy it flying with guns. just tell the agent when you declare that you want to buy additional insurance. having lost one coming from 2nd chance many years ago, i always buy the extra insurance.
  9. i've had one on an open AR and i like it better than most brakes. it's huge, but alot smaller than the old JP tank brake. surefire is better, but looks really strange on a nice contoured JP barrel.
  10. BJ-no special software needed for either. you can easily add all your ipod music to yer mac. here's apple's instructions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329?viewlocale=en_US as far as burning dvd's, if you got a new mac, it came with iLife. using iMovie and iDVD is cake.
  11. because shooting pistol for 25 years got boring. besides, where else can you spend exorbitant amounts of money, for things you don't use often, traveling long miles and spending many days shooting for a couple minutes trigger time, humping enormous amounts of gear and ammo, then complain for the next few months only to do the same thing over and over. gotta love it!
  12. well richard, yer almost getting old. enjoy this one, cause yer trojans don't look very good this year.
  13. the silverton is actually cheaper. they have a deal if you stay 3 nites, you also get a $100 bass pro shop card, which is right next to the hotel. stayed there last 3gun nats-awesome place. it's only 8 miles from the match hotel and is on the end of the strip (kinda).
  14. i enjoy shooting in other states-sometimes run into shooters you met at the nationals or other big matches. i've shot matches in 8 states: california nevada oregon washington hawaii texas michigan illinois
