the steel challenge has basically become a rimfire event for teens.

thin piece of plastic (like an overlay) reduces the funnel to 1/2 size, completely eliminating the problem.

kinda what i used to do many moons ago when i actually practiced the match. made a graphic layout of the stages at the time (1999), laid out the marked rope and would place a stage down, shoot it for score, then reset to the next stage. would shoot the match cold, twice each day. 98S_C Layout.pdf

in my case, i always preferred to run the entire match, all stages, cold. but i ran them twice b4 changing the stage. if i had an issue with a stage, when i was done shooting the match, i would practice on that age till i ran out of ammo.
