  1. On the burn charts I've seen Bullseye is slightly faster than Titegroup yet I don't see anyone saying Bullseye is hot burning or a snappy recoiling powder. I'm about to compare them since I just scored 8lbs of Bullseye and I'm down to less than 1/2 lb of Titegroup.
  2. Bullseye is just slightly faster burning than Titegroup.
  3. Thanks, scored some Bullseye and WSF.
  4. All depends on the load you're shooting. Hotter load heavier spring. Bunny fart loads lighter spring. Use the factory spring first and go from there.
  5. As muggy as it is in South Carolina you'll be soaked from sweat under your rain gear just as fast as if you'd not worn any at all.
  6. Are these springs available? I see they are sold out on your site I'd like to know as well.
  7. I must commend Zack and his wife Donna, as always you two did an exemplary job and the next matches will only get better. Everyone was courteous and professional. Thanks also to Bobby Thornton, Doug Wilton and Andrew Crenshaw, damn good job guys. If you needed anything on a stage it was there chop chop. Professionals all the way and that will attract professional shooters. Speaking of which Congratulation and thanks to Ron Francisco he was both a winning pro but a very cool guy to shoot with. It was nice meeting you. I also got to talk to Clint Upchurch another humble professional 3 gunner. I'm looking forward to next year.
  8. I do this at local steel challenge to practice transitions with my 3 gun rifle. It's not ideal for SC, I won't win over a dedicated SC gun but it's fun. Although I do get funny looks when my Vortex 1x6 comes out and my 50 round drum. I've shot one3 gun match which had shots out to 400 yards. So I loaded up some 77 gr Nosers. I now have gone full retard and have a JP low mass BCG and adjustable gas block and JP captured spring. I'm keeping the 77gr load and adjusting the rifle to the lowest gas needed to cycle. I know this is not optimizing the low mass/gas system but it works. The load is accurate and works well in my gun. When I get to the point I need mouse fart loads to get an edge on Horner or Miculek then I'll worry about those loads. Until then I'll run what works in my set up.
  9. Guy on my squad broke 180. He was one of the better shooters on my squad. Overall great match. This was my first "big" USPSA match and I've shot less than 6 local matches. It just reinforced what I already knew, I've got to make time to practice. I sucked. I didn't realize paster valet service was available. Which squad were you on? I guess you shot Saturday. I shot Friday the entire squad pasted and reset.
  10. I have both a VM worked by a local smith and a TTI M2. I wanted to like the VM since it shoots soft but it is heavy and does not shoot POA. The M2 is much lighter, handles much quicker and it dead on with slugs out to 100 yards. I haven't shot the VM enough to break anything but the complaint I hear as stated above certain parts just aren't as durable as the M2. It says a lot when the weakest parts in the VM are recommended to be changed out with Benelli parts. I'm waiting for TTI to perfect their VM mods and then I'll sent it in to get the works.
  11. Thank you 2011redrider!! I haven't found any Titegroup in over a year, I was down to less than half a pound. whew! that was close. Unfortunately they'll only let you get 4 lbs per customer. I'm surprised Recobs shipping is so resonable for powder. Some online sales are like $40 or more.
  12. Hey PGC members! Anyone shooting the PGC Steel Challenge this weekend? I'm shooting the Blue Bullets match and I'd really like to chrono my match ammo before May 1st. This will be the first big USPSA match I've ever shot where I'll be chrono'd. I don't want to crap out on my first big USPSA match due to weak ammo. I'd just like to make sure I'm good to go. If you're shooting steel this weekend, I'd really appreciate putting a couple of rounds across yore chrono. Thanks, ~willz
  13. So my question now is... when is someone going to manufacture an aluminum carrier with NiB coating? You can coat a receiver, why not an aluminum carrier? I guessing an NiB coated upper and NiB coated Aluminum carrier combo would make for a pretty long service life. I've recently come to realize big sponsor shooters are a lot like any pro racing team, you can run your gear as hard and abusive as you want because next season you'll be in all new redesigned machinery. I'm not knocking factory sponsored shooters by any means. The latest and greatest gear they get to abuse and test and push to its limits this year trickles down eventually to the more casual shooter in better gear at a better price. Remember when NiB coated anything was $400 plus retail? Now I can get a quality NiB BCG for $99. Ain't Capitalism great? I think the next logical step is an NiB coated Aluminum BCG. You're welcome. IM me for info on where to send my checks. Next we'll hear Benelli is going head to head with JP Enterprises to build the next level 3 Gun AR.
  14. That's one heavy Ti carrier at 7.8 oz.. Jp,s LMOS steel carrier is 6.3 oz.. The old JP aluminum carrier was 3.7 oz.. Yeah it's the full carrier profile, nothing wittled away to lighten it further.
  15. I see AIM Surplus has a new Ti BCG. I wonder weight wise how it compares? They list it as 7.8 oz I'm guessign thats just the carrier and not the entire BGC. http://aimsurplus.com/product.aspx?item=XAIMBCGTINIB&name=AIM+TiX+M16+.223%2f5.56+NIB+Bolt+Titanium+Carrier+Group&groupid=6
  16. I initially had TTI put a +8 extension on my M2. I use a soft case inside a pelican 1750. This configuration just barely fit. It was a very snug fit. I removed the +8. Then I bumped the mag tube capacity a couple of rounds and put a +5 a Nordic coupler and another +5 Nordic tube. I can take the fwd +5 off for more compact transport. Just something to consider.
  17. Hmmm I've never seen any such statements but I can tell you both Bayou and Blue Bullets have little to no smoke over TiteGroup. I've shot with a guy in IDPA who shoots lubed lead over TiteGroup and it looks like he's shooting black powder. Coated bullets produce no noticeable amount of smoke. I shoot 124 gr Blue Bullets and Bayou depending which is in stock over 3.8gr of TiteGroup and it give good accuracy and shoots well out of my G17.
  18. Hunter Cayll Please explain how he does what he does.
  19. Registered as a newb. Will see if I get a slot. Put in for time off work already.
